Lockdogg Posted August 4, 2005 Share Posted August 4, 2005 (edited) If you've been under a rock the past 8 years, Cowboy bebop is an anime series that redefines the limits and creative style of an animated series. Im not even a fan of anime...at all, and it's one of the best tv series ive ever seen. Anywho...... I recently had the chance to listen to all of the avalible Cowboy Bebop albums and I must say, this is some of the best music i have ever heard. Ever. It mixes laid back jazz with a touch of rock/country/classical...hell even a little metal in there. This is one of those soundtracks where you don't even have to see the show to enjoy the music itself. I mean it really is that good. Although watching the series would do nothing but add more emotion to the songs. Many of the tracks are made by a Japanese band called "the seatbelts". They do some excellent work preforming the different scores on the soundtrack. If you ever get the Album set (if you don't you will be missing out). I recommend listening to these tracks as soon as you get it. Yoko Kanno- You Make me Cool Yoko Kanno(i think?)- Farewell Blues The Seatbelts- Tank! Yoko Kanno-Waste Land Yoko Kanno-Ave Maria The Seatbelts-Real Folk Blues Use amazon search and type "cowboy bebop soundtrack". the results will contain the complete box set and seperate albums....just to give you an overview. Mar Posted August 11, 2005 Share Posted August 11, 2005 Ave Maria is not a Cowboy Bebop song. I've heard the version that they sing and it sucks. Ave Maria is one of the best old songs. Cowboy Bebop's version kills it.
