Few Gameplay questions

Hi, I recently purchased gta san andreas for the pc, its a wicked game, I downloaded a complete save file so I could play around with everything. I have yet to complete the game myself, I've actually only done a few missions so far. sigh.gif

Anyway, I have a few questions. Seeing as I havent played far through the game, and I am trying a lot of stuff on the completed save, I cant figure some things out for the life of Me. How do you pull the chord while parachuting? How to you turn Nitro on/off when you have it on your car? How do you fly the hunter without getting 20 feet into the air, then going into a very halarious deathroll into the ground? I loved flying the hunter in Vice city, the numpad + arrow control combination was great.

I appreciate the help guys.

To pull the chord while parachuting just click and hold your fire key (left mouse button). It should open. But make sure it is equipped (just select it from your 'weapons')

There is a button for nitro - i changed it to right mouse on my configuration, just go into redefine controls --> driving and change it. Not sure what is listed as, maybe special or something.

The hunter is the same as in Vice City, I use W and S to lift up and down, Q and E to rotate and A and D to bank. You might have to play around in your controls again for this one. (I use space to fire minigun and Left Ctrl to fire missiles)

Ok, thanks very much for the help Itchy. Off to go parachuting!

Speaking of parachuting, I know places I can find parachuts, and cliffs I can jump off of.. But I would really like to go in a plane and parachute out, I hear people often talking about that. Which airport do I goto, and how to I go parachuting? Do I need to talk to someone? Do I need to just get in a certian plane?

Nitro - Left Shift. Hold the key for longer burst. It will used up eventually and need time to recharge. But simply step out and step in again the Nitro will recharged at once.

Jump off planes: Same as jump off a car, press Enter or F anytime in the sky. If you have a parachute or mixed out your flying skill, the parachute will be automatically equiped.

Any plane will do - you can get planes at any of the airports or at your airstrip at Verdant Meadows (or Area 69, but it is a lot trickier to steal a plane from there so I wouldn't bother). Also, if you buy an airline ticket and take a flight (eg. from Las Venturas International to Los Santos) you are given the option of jumping from the plane at any time. But as Airborne said max out your flying skill first, that way you will automatically get a parachute any time you enter a plane.

I like to jump in the hydra and reach the maximum altitude in the game. When you jump you can freefall for ages.

One other thing, if your parachute is open and you get sick of descending slow as a snail - just press F again. You will lose the parachute and fall. But make sure you aren't too high up or you will die from the fall. (This is useful if want to land on a high point somewhere without sailing right over it, or if you want to avoid that annoying stumbling animation that happens when you hit the ground - just hit F right before your feet touch)

Thanks once again for all the help guys. colgate.gif

I am having some problems with nitro, I can turn it on, I have set it to my right mouse button, but I can't seem to turn it off. I have tried all sorts of ways of clicking the right mouse button, double clicking, rapidly clicking, holdin' it down, etc. Suggestions?

No, you can't turn off Nitro. Wait until it used up.

I see.. I did figure out one way though, stop the car, get out and right back in again. bored.gif

I think the car becomes a little bit less fragile with nitro activated too, so you can afford to butt a few cars out of the way.
