GTA3Rockstar
Well, my dad is on most of the time, selling stuff on Ebay... I always have to wait to get on late at night, so I want to know how to do it... My pc is Windows XP SP2 and my dad is 98se... I tried setting up the ICS using XP, but I don't know how to set it up on the 98se pc... If you can help me do this, I'll very much appreciate it, thanks... Or an easier way, from the start Edited August 4, 2005 by GTA3Rockstar
SIP YEK NOD
what we did back when we were on dial-up when broadband wasn't available was actually got a second phone line soley for the internet. we got the internet package, and 0 monthly minuites, so the line only cost like 50 bucks instalation, and 20 bucks a month. sharing dial-up would probably be murder. ilikensrs
There should be an option, I think in IE under connection settings, that allows you to tell your computer to connect through your fathers, but I haven't run 98 in a very long time and don't really know. There shuold also be an option when you run the ICS wizard on the xp computer to create a setup disk for older systems, you hould try that. That is how you do it right there. You might have to get a crossover cable to do it, but it should work fine.

So each pc recognize eachother, but eh...
maelstrom
once you read this it will make a little more sense. Good luck - it is just a matter of connecting the DUN PC with the rest of the network (or just your PC)
