Spooky
mike has setup a simple blog system for the team to post development updates. The stuff posted there might not be of interest to the casual gamer waiting for the release of SA:MP, but for those that are interested... http://www.sa-mp.com/devlog/ I'll start doing development updates more often now, and I'm sure the rest of the dev team will do. Notification of updates to the devlog won't be posted on the forum, so keep your eyes on http://www.sa-mp.com/devlog/.

Spedizzo
Very nice to see updates on that log, but some things worry me... The fact that drive-bys are a cause for concern upets me... I think they are fine as they are, and I don't think it should be changed at all. I hope kyeman doesn't permanently change the way drive-bys are used or their damage...drive-bys are not that difficult to evade, especially if that "evasive dodge" is disabled. In VC-MP you can explode a car in seconds, which would cause the driver to instantly die, you can try and keep a constant position in front or in back of the vehicle, or simply head for shelter, you can shoot through their window as well. Is there anyway you can just leave it up to the server and the .ini on how they wish weapons or drive-bys pan out? Just disabling/leaving out and weakening things is something MTA would do. GTA is fine as it is, nothing should be changed when it comes to drive-bys/weapon damage. If you want a "modified" pussified version of a multiplayer for VC there is always 0.5. It is a shame that the entering/leaving car animation may also be disabled especially when car-jacking isn't enabled, but if it causes crashes... what can ya do? :\ Don't forget to address why crouching/meeleeing isn't always synched as well... Scharkey
People are just little bitchy whiners. This 'drive by' thing is turning into a MTA 0.4-0.5 GTA3 carkilling problem. People would constantly, everyday complain about carkilling. Now it's driveby's? Don't touch the files, let the nublets sort this out themselves and gain skills to avoid this. kyeman
I agree about the drivebys. I have no intention of weakening them. We'll probably address the issue in our vanilla ini. Server admins can do what they want. We've been playing VC-MP with drivebys for a few months and there are ways to get away from them. If you see a driveby coming you can get behind the vehicle and usually destroy it before they get a chance to reverse around. The times you're most vunerable to drivebys is when you're fighting someone else. ps. Yes, we'll try get the crouch syncing a bit more stable. f34r
Indeed. I also had problems with sync when I was having a fist fight!

Just get rid of those crashes. If disabling those enter/exit animations are the solution for now, its still ok. The less crashes the better.
