just a quick question, i have found 99 tags and i used the brady games guide is there a misprint in the guide or is it just me,

Don't trust that guide. You can find so much better maps in the forum

Well, never heard about a tag glitch, but there is misprints in it. Check THIS for misprints.

This happened to me a long time ago. After a day or two of agonizing over it, I came to a solution.

 

I had used the map made by one "Dark52" on GameFAQs and I came up with, yeah, 99 tags. There were 100 listed on the map. The discrepancy? It counts the one that Sweet sprays over during the "Tagging the Turf" mission which serves as the introduction to spray tags.

 

Using the spray paint pickup on the roof behind the Johnson House, I sprayed this tag before starting that mission. When you do that, the tag becomes uncovered but you retain credit for it. I then sprayed the rest of the tags during that mission, after Sweet says he's off to do another 'hood. He actually just goes back to the Grove, and you have infinite time and paint to spray all 100 tags during the mission if you so desire.

 

Getting all tags early makes the first part of the game incredibly easy, as you can easily build up stockpiles of AK-47 and sawnoff shotgun ammo as well as Molotovs.

Use multiple maps. If you can't find tag by one map, get a hint from another - if that doesn't help use another map till you find it. I used three maps - Brady games (counted tags by it too), the one on saandreasnet Java map and this map - each had it's mistakes.
