The game freezes everytime you make CJ get off it ( Triangle for PS2). Luckily, there's a "fix" that can be applied to this bug. So even when you back out of the Pay-N-Spray and go somewhere else, then get out, it freezes? I read a brief mention about a bug regarding a resprayed Vortex in one of the GameFAQs walkthroughs, but I never did it myself. Unfortunately, I don't guess there's a fix for us in the PS2 crowd. That's right. It was really disappointing. The "solution" though is somewhat crude, though you can still get the color scheme you want. One is to find a spawned normal vortex after the mission Cut Throat Business, then just drive around the block and go back again to where it is. This should cycle through the color schemes of the vortex. Just pick the color you want then. The problem is with the proofed one that you get in the aforementioned mission because your only choice is to repaint it in Pay N spray. Given that you have to, the other "solution" is to starve CJ to death inside the garage to "unstuck" him from the vehicle. When you come back for it in your garage from the hospital, it'd be rideable again as normal, with the color you wanted. Or if you want to cheat, enter commit suicide code. Blowing it up and wasting CJ inside the garage by fitting the vortex with a bomb at the bomb factory would make the vehicle disappear. Or entering any code with a triangle button press (PS2) would freeze the game. Only problem here is you have to torture CJ this way everytime you want another color for it. This is for the PS2. I don't believe the DFT-30's flatbed moves at all. You can move the top part of the Packer up & down, but it's still not really effective for transporting other cars. The Packer is only fun for ramming stuff and jumping walls (in other vehicles via the ramp). I was rather irked when I found you can't really transport cars in it; they always slide out. Also, if you close the ramp over a car, eventually it will smoke and then blow up (and destroy the Packer in the process). To transport cars, try a Tow Truck or a Tractor. Though slow, the Tractor has a lot of power and can climb fairly steep grades, though not as much while towing something. There is also a few helicopter mods that replace the Chinok and Leviathan, making them both capable of transporint people, cars etc. Though they are in the beta stage, so to speak. I thought that you cant. of cause u can fly the news chopper. go to da las venturas race at the airport. do the news chopper race. forget about the checkpoints and just fly back to las venturas airport and land the helecopter next to the red marker where u entered the race. the red marker won't actually be visible. get out and run out of time. then u fail and the news chopper is yours. does that help Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Yes, L3 will make the lights flash and a siren sound on the police bike (HPV1000). However, that wasn't what was being asked. jbuck38's quesion was whether the siren actually does anything. The answer to that is No. The siren on the police bike is completely ignored by other drivers. AI vehicles will get out of the way of an ambulance with the siren going or a regular police car with the siren going, however they do not respond to the siren on the police bike and just drive normally.
