Slamman
Hi Another batch of computer problems and I was so pissed I bought a needed new computer, however, I'm still anxious it will crash from something out in cyberspace, etc. Initially I had intended to use my GTA3 software on my first PC (that game I did buy over a year ago, sadly SA has been pulled from local markets here...thanks to Hot Coffee it seems!) The Radio Shack USB to PS2 controller was a super find for $10. After being in standby this morning... my computer reported a driver fault that seems to be related. This just adds to the problem I'm having. Being bought new and with 3" device driver CDROM, I was not expecting anything to deter from plug and play... Looking at the Display PRoperties box' various controller tests, it doesn't indicate what I get in the GTA PC version...where the analog right stick doesn't correspond to up, down, left and right, but is moved (all four directions!) to the right....so up is in the normal 'right' position, and so on Anyone who's gone my route of using PS2 controller for GTA on PC.. I need some input, ASAP Thanks much, guys! BILL S.

Slamman
Thanks, but at the same time, San An adds more features from previous GTAs. Options that responded in the game's own menu for custom programming didn't recognize the D pad arrows or the analog to set for use, I'm not sure how that stands in Vice City as well. I realize I jumped into the San An board by default, but I have that same interface shown.... just got last week. I've played the PC version of Vice along time ago with keyboard and mouse settings and assumed the mouse reacted the same in GTA3 I've been able to marry keyboard for looking directions, and facing/one step as well with the PS2 functions....the controls should assign in the Windows device box I think, but I'm coming into PC game play as a newb. The verdict is out if the PS2 version is actually easier to play. I have encountered momentary freezes it seems during disc access...or HDD, not sure Maybe my rez needs some adjustment...it's set for full screen DVD play (800x600)
