Trueno_Drifter86
Ive had my sterio since maybe January It's nice not an Ultra expensive thing, that will blast your ear drums out but it get's the job done.I was woundering if I could maybe upgrade the speakers and subwoofer to somthing biger/louder and with more base. I mean it's ok just for relaxing but I usualy only use it when I wana play somthing loud and In good quality. So can someone recomend me something or even an new sterio the only restrictions are... 1.MONEY!!!$$ 2.I can't Buy it online Thanks.
Rayo Puño
Well first off, it's spelled stereo, with an e, not an i. If you want louder sound, buying different speakers isn't going to do anything, you need a more powerful system. Unless you just want more bass (not base, it's phonetical), you should just buy a powered sub. Those are pretty expensive though, and if you have a mini system, not a home theater system, you can't hook it up, because I don't think any mini systems have sub outs. After thinking, it's obvious you have a mini system. I recomend you buy a receiver with an amp built in, which is the kind you'll find 90% of the time. If you want surround sound, get a receiver with 5.1 or more channels, and a speaker set. If you don't care for it, and just want a two speaker set up, just get a 2 channel stereo receiver, and hook up the speakers you have now to it (as long as they can handle what the receiver is pushing). I also reccomend getting a powered sub, to add bass, because you won't get sh*t for bass without one. For brands, the best you can get, for not going too expensive is Onkyo. Look for an Onkyo receiver, they are probably the second or thrid best brand, and aren't insanely expensive like Denon (but you get what you pay for with Denon). Or maybe just get a Sony receiver, they aren't bad. Oh and since you can't buy online, go to Best Buy or circuit City or something, they have what you need, seeing as you just want a simple set up, nothing the pros like me need. Well, those are bookshelves, you must have a mini system. If you don't know, a mini system isn't a little boombox or something, it's just a stereo, with a cd player, tape, anf radio usualy, and two bookshelves with a high, a mid, and a low speaker on each. example If you want the speakers to perform louder, you need a new stereo, which is the part you put the cds etc in. That's where all the power is comming from. But if you get a more powerful stereo, you will probably need new speakers, that can handle more power, or else they will blow, and be useless.
