Sound Reaction
Is it possible to somehow remove the slowmotion and camera change when jumping from a ramp in Vice City? Its anoying me very much... Im trying to learn how to stunt, but that damn feature just spoils the whole thing...
Demarest
Just use a stripped SCM. I'll whip something up shortly. Have another script mod request to fill first...
Sound Reaction
You can script it for me? Thanx in advance, im really a newbie when it comes to code/scrips.
EmSixTeen
I think Demarest was saying he'll make a quick script to do (or more to the point remove) it, but he has something else to do first. Keep in mind that (as far as I remember), changing anything in the SCM means you'll need to start a new save-game.
Demarest
Here it is. You'll need to BACKUP your existing /data/main.scm file and then put the main.scm in that zip in. It's essentially VC, but without the USJ camera shift. What Em said is true, though I imagine that if you're just practicing stunting, that won't matter. I'm currently consulting on code offsets. I'm PRETTY SURE I'll be able to release a verison that would NOT require you to start over. I'm pursuing it because a few people have a glitch where they are stuck in the camera shift and that would be a life saver for them. Anybody interested in doing this to their own SCM, search for "USJ". Now search for the second instance of the word speed (line 7710) and comment out those three lines like so :Label014C8E0004: 3172?? = 0? \\ integer values0004: 3176?? = 0? \\ integer values;015D: set_gamespeed .3!;015F: set_camera_position 3328?? 3332?? 3336?? 0! 0! 0!;0158: camera_on_vehicle 3156?? 15? 2? For the sake of completeness, search for speed one more time (line 7762) and comment those two lines out like so :Label014DB60001: wait 300& ms;015D: set_gamespeed 1!;02EB: restore_camera_with_jumpcut00D6: if 0?0038: 3176?? == 1? \\ integer values004D: jump_if_false ££Label0154DE00D6: if 1?0038: 3168?? == 1? \\ integer values0038: 3180?? == 0? \\ integer values004D: jump_if_false ££Label014E080004: 3180?? = 1? \\ integer values0008: 3164?? += 1? \\ integer values030C: set_mission_points += 1?0002: jump ££Label0154E5 If I make any progress on the version that won't require a restart, I'll be sure to post it here. It's just a matter to figure out how to change the last 2 lines of the first block there will filler that will space the remainder of the code out identically and it should work swimmingly. [EDIT] I just realized that if you start a new game, the barricades and stuff will be in place. If you'd like, just grab my TTVC mod, MB 0.22 and change the things noted above. Line numbers will be different, but instructions on how to arrive at them won't be. If this is beyond your modding skill level, let me know and I'll whip it up. But since it will be using TTVC as a foundation, you WILL need to have that installed. Thought I think not might just mean you might get certain GXT missing error messages that most likely wouldn't effect gameplay. Meh. Demarest
Well before you do, go here and grab that file. It does the same fix, but then your save will be totally interchangeable with regular gamesaves For those not following along, the file I'm linking to here (last one is now dead) is exactly what I was shooting for: a USJ gamespeed/camera cut killer that allows you to continue to use your savegame. Many thanks to CyQ for taking me to school on how offsets are governed so I could pull this off.
