*OGM*_2pac
Hi evrybody. It's my first post on this forum so excuse me if my topic is not in the right place. I'm french and I'm working with several other creators on a mod for SA replacing many things in the game. I would like to know what tool must i use to avoid the ability to export and then modify or copy any of the new textures we made in the txd's we have change. Because according to the time we spend working on that mod we wouldn't be glad to see any of our creations modified and uploaded on the net by someone else that would pretend he is the author of such jeans or such t shirt he has a little modified. I know such a tool does exist because i remember the time when i was tuning my vice city, replacing every licence plates (of the vehicles i took on the net): the texture of some cars was impossible to export and it was also impossible to see it using Vice.txd tool. Her's what i'm talking about: Thank you for your help and your answers. Edited August 4, 2005 by *OGM*_2pac
Opius
TXDs? Nothing. If you're editing DFFs, Zmodeller can apply a fairly weak lock on the files. More than anything, this just lets people know the author doesn't want it to be modified. If you're worried about it, make sure to stress the point in the readme, and if anyone re-uses your material on our network, report it. We'll deal with them from there. Dazla
Ner...It doesnt really help. I locked the Ducati, and someones already converted it, it would be nice if you could lock your creations via a password. The unlocker is invaluable for modders with there own creations, but it also becomes vurnerable to random converts and stealers
Opius
Remember, if anyone reuses or converts any part of your work without permission, it's ripping. That's a 'ban-on-sight' offence here. Just report it and provide proof

Kyofan
Zmodeller can apply a fairly weak lock on the files. Too easy to be cracked ! For TXD, you can't protect but only for say that you don't want to it stealed, do like JVT, add a neutral pic to the TXD with the copyright. And 2Pac, nobody wants to steal any hip-hop clothe xD Kyofan
