GTA San Andreas Mod Manager v.O7

This tool gives u the choice of switching between mods that require switching save files and script files

(main.scm and script.img).

It will automatically save your save files and restore them when u switch back to another mission script mod.

Instructions:

-------------

 

Just uncompress to any folder and start.

 

Set initial parameters (program would ask u those) and then just add mods at will.

 

To add a mod you´ll need:

 

A BMP screenshot (sorry no JPG)

A TXT file with description

A IMG file

A SCM file

 

Savefiles are managed as per MOD, so no problem with that. I put a limit to MODs, only 50 at max.

I hope in the next version it will possible to see what types of files program needs when I adding a mod(bmp, txt, etc) ;)

And menu Help->About doesn't work... :(

huh? i've been testing the tool quite some time now, but i never had this error m8... can u give some more details perhaps?

 

btw... does it work like it susposed to be working for all the rest? any feedback maybe?

about screen is fixed now, and btw... Main_Salvadore,

this tool is only for mods that requires switching the main.scm & script.img files.

Not for normal mods, in other words. And ehm, a GXT editor??

I don't really see the point of integrating that into this tool.. dontgetit.gif

Just thought this would be handy... (although is pretty obvious tounge.gif)

 

Some mods have only a SCM file,so, in order to properly install that MOD inside my tool, when asked for it, point IMG file to the original one, inside GTA SA dir.

 

BTW, txt file is a description file, any file would do. Same thing for screenshot BMP file. Those files are only informative ones, just to appear as info when you choose a MOD before firing it.

ooo man, big up! I cant believe you went through all that. Now I can make a custom player model.. without actually hafting to make a custom player model, there are so many peds, I just look for one I like, and re-skin it

ok, i'm having a problem. when i'm prompted to select the main.scm and script.img i can only add one or the other. how do i add both?

 

also, could you make it so that adding a screenshot and text file is not mandatory? it seems pointless and just makes the process of adding mods bothersome. i just use the "original" bmp that came with it, for every mod i add, and for the text file i add the readme that came with the mod i'm adding. but if a mod doesn't have a readme then i have to go and create a text file just to be able to add the mod.

 

i like this tool and think it was a great idea. smile.gif it would be even better if you didn't have to jump through hoops just to add a mod.

well, if u select one file like for example main.scm, it will autodetect the script.img along with it wink.gif

 

as for the screenies and the description text files...

it was originally meant to be made as u said, a 'quick switch' method.

but my mate (RottenFish) found it more appealing with a screenshot with every mod... wich is handy ofcoz, but takes a little more time yea...

 

perhaps we'll release a quickswitch tool in the next few weeks wink.gif

this probably isnt the place for this, but i was wondering how you reskined cj to look like a pedestrian. please help, because i also like lots of the pedestrians, and would love to use one ingame. thanks

You know, a GXT integrated with the tool IS a good idea. I mainly use Spaceeinstein's mod and n0bmode, and they both came with a GXT.

but that ain't an 'editor' actually... i thought u guy's wanted something added that could edit the content of a gxt file suicidal.gif

but that's a good idea yea, i'll discuss this with my m8 wink.gif
