91RS
I'm working on a Dodge Challenger ATM, and there is some chrome pieces on it and I can't get them to work right. First time they didn't work at all (I did them just like I did my Aston) and the second time they looked like crap. I don't remember the settings I tried the first time, but here's what I have it set as now: Ambient: 1 Spec: 1 Diffuse: 1 Alpha: 255 Reflection: 100 - chrime_1.tga (exported from TXD file) Spec Power: 20 - vehiclespecdot64.tga (exported from generic TXD file) Specular: White Spec Alpha: 255 Spec/Ref Blend: 0.5 What should I do to make the chrome look good? I'm also making the engine chrome. Edited August 2, 2005 by 91RS
DexX
chrome is basically full on shine. set your Spec Power to 100, and your spec ref blend, to 1.0. thats max for both, and alteast from there it will be chrome when you get ingame. if its too intense, just lower each of these values until it looks acceptable. The Spec ref blend will control how intensely the reflection map is applied, and the Spec Power will control the amount of....spec, on the mesh itself.
