qorilla
Hi! Last summer I found a GTA3 HUD Hiding tool, with wich you could toggle the hud's appearance. It was done by ashdexx. The topic about it no longer exists so i can only give a google-archive. The Topic It worked fine for me that time, but now my NOD32 doesn't let it run because it says that the exe is infected with Win32/Keylogger.HotKeysHook.A trojan. I wrote a PM to ashdexx but he didn't reply (yet). Is this kind of tool done again by now? If not: What do you think, shouldn't I take this warning seriously? Should I disable NOD32? Is that my only option? Thank you.
DexX
i originally made it (with TMK 1.51) just for d8cam. i lost the original link, but here's where he's hosting it: www.planetgrandtheftauto.com/files/gta3hud.rar I ran a fresh download through my virus scanner, and it didn't detect anything
qorilla
I see. It's likely that TMK and NOD32 aren't compatible... A topic about it Edit: Damn, it looks like I cannot tell nod32 to ignore that file... I think I'll have to disable the whole program, which I dont really love to do... Any ideas? DexX
hmm, i didnt know that when i made the trainer. i was very new at it, at the time. but as long as you didnt get an *actual* virus, im relieved. i thought i was more careful than that
qorilla
Now it's solved, I got PC-Cillin AV, so no more NOD32 crap... I don't know if I got an actual virus, it would be a keylogger so it would be quiet, but I'm quite fully sure that it was only a nod32 crap... And a great tool again from 1 year's distance
Dangta
The reason it thinks it is a keylogger is because it captures key presses for shortcuts to enable cheats. It's called a global keyhook in which the program intercepts keys and can detect which one was pressed.
jacob.
The reason it thinks it is a keylogger is because it captures key presses for shortcuts to enable cheats. It's called a global keyhook in which the program intercepts keys and can detect which one was pressed. If that was plainly the case then it would call every other key-hooking software a trojan/virus. Like the person in the Extalia topic said, it's more of the method TMK hooks keypress events, not the keyhooking itself.
