JernejL

The GTAGarage and GTATools.com are proud to announce the creation and release of the first GTAGarage program, this program will make the distribution and creation of CAR and other vechile modifications easier than ever before.

The program creates CAR packages for your custom made cars complete with all data needed for installing the car and checks for the need of Dmagic1 wheel mod so that almost nothing can go wrong during installation, the program also contains many useful features which are dedicated to car modders such as manual car data installer and San Andreas col into dff merging which will be extremely helpful in the future. The program works with all 3D gta games, that are GTA3, Vice city and San andreas.

Umm yeah, sometimes it takes several clicks onto car to refresh it so it display right, it is a little glitchy sometimes wink.gif

also, to rotate model around use mouse cursor & drag it, for zooming use mouse wheel smile.gif

Btw, on DFT truck (san andreas) the wheel is in the middle of model, this is a bug in the actual truck model, it also happens ingame, it is missing a rear wheel on the left side wow.gif

This is a pretty sweet program smile.gif

It would be awesome if you could add the ability to have a TXD editor with the ability to edit textures while they're on the model, at least for the Player's clothes. Maybe you could even have a sort of "Create-A-CJ" where you could pick which models to be used for the clothes (they would load with the default texture), then import the textures right there.

Just an idea, but it would be cool biggrin.gif

Thanks Delfi, you're a legend... this saves soo much effort for modders who usually have to spend half their night after releases debugging people's use of imgtool on msn whatsthat.gif

Gonna make it so much easier sifting through the mass of mods that seem to be coming out.

Bloody brilliant, this makes life so much easier.

Some bugs with some custom models, I assume it doesn't mean it will currupt the ending mod package right? Regardless all the features more then make up for it.

lol re your tagline GTAfreak - Monarro moite... fully sick.

I have a proposal Delfi - given the long standing debates of multiplayer clients being affected negatively by mods, the blame has always been placed re crashing because people don't share the same mods.

I have always dreamed of a version of vcmm or some other mod manager, which receives instructions from a multiplayer client/server, such that when a player joins, their client advises the mod manager on what mods are being used in server, and where to obtain them.... the mod manager, of course, would then go and install them prior to spawning you in game.

This way, all users would be able to go play on shared map mods etc. without the fear of crashing, and the advantage of seeing the same things others' see.

Delfi - do you think this is a feasable feature to add to your packager? If a central mod hosting server is the issue, I can help out, and I'm sure others would too.

Awesome Delfi. 100% f*cking percent. This will be so useful. Does the col merging mean I can use this to convert GTA3/VC cars to SA ones?

Okay, sorry if I dont understand totally.

But will this basically also be able to install a Mod, such as a custom car or CJ skin, from a file that it also generates? Eliminating the need to manually edit all the cfg files ? Or is this simply for MODders ?

Just wondering, because man, installing all these mod's can be a bit tiresome on the eyes.

Thanks smile.gif

Noticed it made alot of textures on my already modded cars a little funky.. But apart from that its ok. And some cars didn't show at all. wow.gif

Some cars take several clicks on the list to appear correctly, also i had no custom cars for san andreas installed yet, it was mostly tested with gta vice city, for an example, a tutorial for installing manual cars can be seen here:

http://www.gtatools.com/documentation/ggmm/

it shows a common problem with textures that i encountered and how to fox it.

it wont preview any models, i click on a car name and nothing happens

Sometimes models don't appear immediately but you have to click several times, also because gta locks the img archives when running you cannot use ggmm when the game is running even in background.

I could try something like that, also there is a hidden ped viewer that i removed from the program, maybe i can add the cj model to that feature..

(to get to the ped viewer triple-click the browser button, a hidden invisible button will appear just right of the browser button, you will see cursor change when over the button) the ped viewer is glitchy, don't use it too much.

Some bugs with some custom models, I assume it doesn't mean it will currupt the ending mod package right? Regardless all the features more then make up for it.

No, the files are exported & imported into the imgs without any conversion or processing so if the ggmm view shows stuff corrupt but the game works fine it should install and fucntion with no problem on other computers.

I've already talked to Spooky who runs SA-MP about this, we will see what it will come out of this, but it would be pretty solid to use it for installing cars, because every car will be installed same on all computers so files will have same checksums because they are installed same on all computers..

Does the col merging mean I can use this to convert GTA3/VC cars to SA ones?

No, the car conversion could work for gta3 cars because you can almost directly use them in gta-vc (one number added to default.ide and handling.cfg line) but the packager prevents installing wrong packages to different games.

The col merging means that the coll import works differently for san andreas than gta3 & vc, in gta3 and vc the collision file will be put into vehicles.col, but in san andreas the col will be merged into the dff - because thats where the cols are stored in gta-sa, this is intended to be used by carmakers, manual installing san andreas cars should not require to import cols because it should be in the dff already. the col merging does need some more testing, it was only tested on gta-sa original dffs.

Thanks for all the positive feedback and support smile.gif

Very awesome utility. This makes working on cars much much easier because I can see the car rendered without loading the game to check it, and install the vehicle without dealing with IMG Tool.

One suggestion though for the car listing, a search box would be really handy for it so you didnt have to scroll through the entire list and instead could just jump to the car you need.
