No it's a different game. It's just a Photoshopped cover of GTA1 for Playstation.

If your saying its not an actual GTA game then your wrong, I remember seeing it in a shop once.

My copy of GTA2 has that picture (GTAttack's) but I think Da GTA Master may be right, I remember seeing that cover in store as well for like, £5? Maybe it was changed when they did a budget re-release or something?

YES, It IS cover from GTA, and most of us have seen it in shop, or somewhere, but it was one single difference: No "2" number!

 

All because it is GTA (first GTA) cover with written on it in any pro graphic editor "2", and R* mark

There are a few covers for GTA I, but as far as I can remember there's only one for GTA II. There are also 2 for GTA III.

I don't think the PS2 cover for the game would be any different to the PC covers, except for the fact it would say PS 2 (instead of pc).

The first pic posted by da gta master is just grand theft auto 2 (gta2). As infact it says on the cover itself. Just someone edited the pic by adding a '2' near the text to use it as a GTA2 cover. Nothing special many do this just to get different looks or just so that someone would think it's a different game.

 

The blackish cover of GTA posted by mibars is the first original cover for gta (pc version).

 

The PlayStation GTA cover is like the one da gta master posted but without the '2' (obviously enough )

 

Many shops tend to buy from their suppliers different images etc... but there is no difference from GTA2 to Grand Theft Auto 2, they are the same game.

actually i just found out that the "photoshopped" front cover for gta2 is real gta2 front cover for dreamcast version of the game

its a real cover and the same game. rockstar changed the cover when people didn't realise it wasn't grand theft auto's sequal.
