[BETA | WIP] car dealership. new way to get a car

Now U have a new "non-criminal" way to get a car. This San Andreas "Coutt and Schutz" car dealership where you can buy 3 cheap class cars: primo, buccanee and blistac (for this time) (if you want you can change this cars manually).

You can find this dealership in Las Colinas, behind the Suburban shop. just follow yellow radar icon.

I think this is final code for this dealership, but I hope this is beta for whole mod.

+ Added another on in "Grotti" and another in "Wang Cars"

In new version I added 2 another dealerships.

1st - cheap rusty cars

2nd - In Grotti - Expensive cars

3rd - In Wang - Sport cars

 

This version of mod based on Craig's Kostelecky "Opened up mod ver. 1.3" (thanks 2 Craig).

 

Known bugs:

- no known bugs (yet)

 

2 do:

- another dealerships around state (1 in SF, 1 or 2 in LV and 1 in country)

- add actor that delivering car to you (?)

wow.gif A way to not steal a car..wow i simply say.

I like to kick someone and drag them out of their car (in.tha.game).

If only the cops would be looking in a diffrent direction I

would be more smoth.

 

But thanks for a great mod for thoose weak hearted guys & dolls.

basicly you search create_thread then you should see a list of other threads put 'create_thread ££DLRSHIP' just above all the rest

 

then search mission 0 and put the code (txtfile he put) above that compile and try it.

 

(i assume you have bartons mission builder is not get it here

Hey, don't be such a dick. An actual car dealership would have been cool in San Andreas, one that worked, like forging payments, etc... would be awesome.

i agree the idea of a dealership is cool - i cant believe R* never did one anyway - why couldnt you buy cars from Wangs before you bought it for example??

That's what I'm talking about. Now I'm making Wang cars as another dealership. So now I found a way to make car selection menu and updated version of mod will be delivered in next few days! (I need only test it well and create external script thread).

Anybody know where I can find different ingame text style appearance descriptions?

I mean MISSION PASSED, bottom screen desc. etc.

Now I'm testing captures like "You don't have enough money, u cheap bastard"

i take it i can do a find and replace on your code snippet and replace the chosen cars to something else?

 

the only comment i have and i believe your fixing it as i speak, is that it would be cool to have one logo with a pop up menu (much like that in transfender that) you can select your chosen car from a large list - you could then choose from loads of cars not just 3 tounge.gif

 

if you do carry out the evolution of this mod in this way will you change the dealership in Los santos to reflect the single icon?

 

I love this mod - you've made use of an otherwise useless piece of scenery and i believe implemented an idea long been neglected - the ability to acquire cars without stealing them, only IF YOU WANT TO. Hell its still fun to slam a dudes head into the steering wheel and nick his car, but i dont want to be a sociopath all the time suicidal.gif

Hehe good job but how about adding an interior to the biulding and putting the car buys in there? I can help you out with the interior but I don't know how to place those objects somewhere else.

@altman - im sorry my post was kinda vague and ambiguous - i meant the number of garages you can pull into to store your vehicles - SA vanilla only has one garage to store your cars, even though theres a garage right next to it which isnt in use - all i wanted is for this garage to open so you could store cars in it. How hard is that, is it something you can do?

 

i regards to my post about replacing cars, since you've added more cars i dont have a need anymore - you stole my thunder - hehe biggrin.gif

 

im about to integrate / compile your mod with PAVEL's driver mod so ill post back my feed back - most probablly it'll be heaps of praise smile.gif

@altman - is it possible you can post the raw code? ive decompiled the SCM but the create thread is now different, it was "004F: create_thread ££DLRSHIP" but thats not there now, is it possible you could issue the raw code so i can implement / combine it with another SCM?

 

if possible could you give instructions if you've changed it to an external script, i have no idea how to handle these, thread im ok with.

 

Lastly i take it if you dont use your .gxt file the mod wont work? Apart from the text "you cheap bastard etc" is there any other big change? i.e. is it likely to mess up any other mod that doenst change the GXT

Of course you can compile my mod with other mods for your internal use. You need to find GXT table "DEALER" in SA texts file. Not only "bastard etc etc" is here, there are all car names and prices in this table, manually add this strings to your own gxt file.

 

Now I'm working on external_script version, where I will try to add 1 or 2 dealerships.

theres no way as this is a huge change in the main section of the main.scm, so unfortunately you'll have to start over again, i havent even started SA yet, too busy modding it smile.gif

hey i got an idea for this mod put pumping gas and al opened up in it i think that would give me and maybe others to longer gameplay and check out all the car lots.

by far the best way is to incorporate the code above into the SCm you already have, ive added it to Pavels driver mod (with permission from Altman for personal use) and it works like a charm, Pavels driver mod is already opened up

 

ALTMAN - i have a great idea - use the grotti (ferrari type) dealership in LS to buy EXPENSIVE cars such as the TURISMO etc?

Great mod guys! I really like.

 

But for those who don't want to start a game all over, like me, couldn't you do this mod in a form of a trainer?

 

Sort of like already available Car Spawner, but:

 

1. Every time you spawn a car it would take your money, amount of which you can define yourself in a trainer for every car.

 

2. You can spawn a car only when you near or inside a dealersip. Or when you stand at a certain location on the map, marked with textures or something.

 

Of course it would be nice to have good interiors for all dealerships too. This is just some ideas.

 

What do you think guys?

Grotti - That's a good idea, that's a great idea (© Rosenberg)!

Look at the first page - In Grotti you can buy expensive cars, additionally i add new dealership in Wang Cars.

So you can test it. The new version of mod based on opened up mod 1.3 by Craig and all islands are open!

I'm not good in memory coding, so it's impossible for me to do something like that. You can only use my last version of the mod where I put all code into external scripts, so you can add another mods into MAIN thread of Scm file.
