Doctor_hv
Ok, after I got bored with San Andreas, I decided to take and play gta3, but I have some real problems I can't load my savegames, because the game simply crashes after doing so... how can I fix it? also, fps is very low if I put higher resolution and all the image is blurry, I se trails of everything And how can I play it without play-disc? I have Celeron 2,4 GHz, 512 RAM, GeForce FX5200 128 MB... I think that's enough for GTA3 to be played on high levels... Demarest
Playing without the play disc is just a matter of using a No-CD crack. That's as far as we can go on that topic because these forums don't support that. Trails is actually an option in your display properties... If your saves won't load, do you happen to know if your game was modded back then or now? If not, then do you happen to know if either then OR now (but not both) you had patched the game to v1.1? If you did before and not now, you'll probably have to patch the game again to load your saves. Or just do like me and start a fresh one because even 100% doesn't take very long Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/206777-problems-with-gameplay/#findComment-3042797 Share on other sites
Doctor_hv
yea, but how will it play if it doesn't copy the audio to the hard disk, and during the installation I haven't seen that option... yea, i removed it and it works better, but I'm not pleased with maximum playable resolution, 'cose I play San Andreas on the same... 1024*768 no, these are saves by this installation, not some previous, and it's not patched... And yes, I made it, it works now, I simply downloaded a no-cd patch and it works without cd and loads saves good... You should be able to play it at any resolution that both your video card and monitor support. Doctor_hv
I mean, I turned off the trails option, and now, the game works good... well, I thought, since I played Vice city on 1600*1200, but this goes too slow... but, who cares, gameplay is nice, and the graphic is anyway old... anyway, thanks for helping... Demarest
Yeah, despite being smaller, GTA3 is less efficient an engine than VC. Mostly (I think) because so much was hardcoded.
