You can't do Homebrew with Barcode B only A...

 

HELP ME - I tried using the SEIPSP for Doom, I want to use the Icon file and hide corrupted file, but it doesn't run... It goes back to the PSP screen and has an error or said no files found, can someone help me???

1) Check the folder names. They should be like DOOM and DOOM% .

2) Check inside folder DOOM for files ending in .wad

3) Open games->memory card and wait for the icon to load

4) If your doom folders are named something like DOOM 1 and DOOM~1%, try changing them to what it says in #1.

 

5) If all else fails, goto setup->system information and find your version. You must (currently) have version 1.0 or 1.5 to run homebrew applications/games.

Lua is a broken language. Don't learn to code in it, as for new coders it teaches very wrong things (like Visual Basic).

 

Learn C++. Not only is it the best programming language, but it also lets you do pretty much everything on a PC/PSP.

Here's a neat little program that uses your PSP as a remote for the PS2.

"I'm releasing another version of the PSP Remote. It has another remote screen for the DVD Player included in the PS2. I also changed around the PS2 buttons, and included the Menu option for the TV. You can even use the analog stick to scroll around in the Menu on the TV! I hope you guys like it, and again, I'm giving you guys the source. And I even included a Readme :-)"

 

The neat thing about this is that if you go into a store that has ps2 demos playing (ie: walmart, best buy) you can take out your psp, load up this app, and control whats going on onscreen or even turn off the ps2. This is assuming they have a newer version of the ps2 w/ the built in infared port a slimline ps2.

 

For example, today me and my friend went to wal-mart to test it out. We arrived at the electronics section to find 2 kids playing 2 diff ps2s. The first kid was playing a demo of madagascar. I turned off his ps2 and then he left dissapointedly. The second kid looked about to be 10 years old and he was playing a gundam game. It looked like he was really getting into the game when suddenly, the screen went black. He got pissed and yelled out "Maaaaaan!". Then we turned them back on went off to look at some PC games. After a few mins another kid started playing madagascar. When he started playing I kept pausing the game and everytime he unpaused it I paused it back. It's hilarious if you're actually doing it

I guess the US 2.0 update is out right now.

 

If I were anyone, I would hold off on this. Sony has released a new JAP update as well that is the exact same file as the new US 2.0 update.

 

but...

 

the original jap 2.0 update file that was released in july is different than these new ones so that means that Sony most likely DID find a HOLE in the original 2.0 update. IS this why they delayed the US version by a week or more originally?

 

Which means that most likely the original JAP 2.0 might be able to be hacked. and hopefully in due time it will be.

 

For me I am still sticking with me 1.5 but for anyone who has the original JAP 2.0 update, seriously consider holding off on the new US update.

I doubt you will, RC Cars are controlled by Radio waves... PSP doesn't have the capability to send out radio waves, as I know!

A mini usb transfer cable shouldn't run you more than $5

Ok i need help.I have a psp 1000k jpn v.1.5.And i tried to dl the v2.0 update from the jpn website i have the file EBOOT.pbp on my computer which is the dl.I dont know what to do with it now because ive had it on my psp before and nothing happend.Can anybody help?

Hey guys, I just pre-ordered my PSP a couple of days ago (comes out Sep. 1st) and have some questions.

 

1. What the hell is so good about Firmware 2.0?

 

2. How would I go about obtaining an emulator that would allow me to play Snes games?

 

3. What are some games that you would reconmend for me to get?

2. Note: If you have version 1.5x or higher where x is not 0, you cannot run homebrew. If you do have 1.0 or 1.5, continue:

 

Visit here and download the file. Open the zip file, and you'll see two folders name something like SNES_TYL and SNES_TYL%. Copy both of them and put them in X:/PSP/GAMES where X is the drive that the PSP is currently (after you connect it to the computer). Now, go online and find SNES ROM files (e.g. .rom, .sms) and place them in the folder SNES_TYL. On your psp, goto games->memory card->SNES TYL. Press X to start it. Select your game, and begin.

 

3. Twisted Metal: Head On has awesome online, wipeout pure is a great racing game, hot shots is a surprisingly good racing game.

 

However, I would save your money for the big three (or more) coming soon: GTA Liberty City Stories, Burn-Out, and Final Fantasy.

I am sorry but I will not answer your question simple because you just disgraced a perfect psp and made it into a pile of sh*t 2.0.

News::: For anyone with a 1.0 or 1.5 psp! A member of the WAB team has come out with a great program for the psp. It is called WAB Version Changer. What this program will do is actually fake your psp into believing that it is a 1.0, 1.52, or now even a 2.0 firmware version psp so that you can play any current or future games that require you to update. Unlike other past programs which have simply bi-passed the umd check update for some games, this program will literally trick your psp into thinking it is a higher version psp than it really is! So supposively if you have changed it into believing it is a 2.0 and then you go and try to update your psp to version 2.0 firmware it will not let you because it thinks that you already have that version! This is a great thing for 1.0 and 1.5 psp owners.

 

NOTE: THIS PROGRAM IS ONLY FOR PEOPLE WITH 1.0 AND 1.5 PSPS AND IF USED TO FAKE AN UPDATE TO 2.0 WILL NOT GIVE THE USER ANY OF THE NEW FEATURES THAT 2.0 USERS HAVE (IE: NO WEB BROWSER OR ANYTHING)

The Techni no mon browser works in english mostly. You should find that. I won't link to it since it is technically a small part of a game (but it rips no actual gameplay, just the browser, which can be started like any other program).

And mine!!! Only thing worth of upgrading the browser, eberything else can be done with Homebrew; on the subject, how can I reorder the Homebrew in alpha order? I have SEIPSP and PickoStick or w/e
