Matt. Actually hate to bust your bubble, but this has already been found in earlier versions. I belive they tried it in 2.70 and 2.71 and got the same results. Someone said that this wouldnt lead to nothing. It might be differnt fro 2.81 though. Who knows.

 

Only homebrew that can brick your psp is the ones that messes with your Flash Memory. Homebrew games that you play really cant do nothing. Homebrew like X-Flash, Custom Firmwares, Downgrading, etc. can, and might brick your psp. Ive taken the risk many of times by downgrading, and using x-flash.

October 23rd, Medal of Honor: Hereos is coming out for PSP! Me and my friend are gunna get it on release date. Or wait a few days and get it with Vice City Stories.

 

My firmware is 2.60, think I should upgrade?

Mr.Mister really its your choice. If you like homebrew like I do, then dont do it. If you want to play your games straight when you get them then yes, But like I said its your choice.

I tried the Tiff games the other day. Great step forward for 2.8! (i'm on 2.8 ) I hope VCS is on 2.80 firmware so I upgraded for a reason

Yeah, the 2.8 is gonna behold great things hopefully. Unlike what you said, many are wishing that its only gonna require 2.71.

 

Hopefully they can find another exploit allowing us kernal access on 2.8

I would suggest a bigger memory stick; 512MB would be good depending on what your budget is.

For games, I would reccomend: GTA Liberty City Stories if you don't have it for the PS2, The Godfather Mob Wars, LocoRoco, and if you like sports games, there are a couple good ones to buy.

I recommend WipEout Pure, it's a fun game (if you like futuristic racing games that is) and there are tons of add ons like tracks and ships, but it all goes at the end of this month after about a year.

I would suggest a bigger memory stick; 512MB would be good depending on what your budget is.

What firmware is your PSP?

I plan on buying at least a 1 gig stick, if not the 4 gig. And I updated the firmware to 2.8 a couple of days ago, since I have no interest in homebrew at all. I bought NFS: Most Wanted 510 along with Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects yesterday while I was downtown. I'll probably buy Ridge Racer, Tekken, and LCS when I get my paycheck next week, along with a new MS Pro Duo.

I think he was asking if we knew how to put pictures on a mp3 or any music file. Like instead of it showing the number of the song it shows a picture by it instead, and I think you do this through the mp3 Tags. You would have to have a editor to do it, But I seen a tutorial around the internet a couple months ago telling you how to do it, so search for it.

I'm fearing Vice City Stories. I fear that it will be something silly like a 2.80 update. I have a 2.60 and I love my homebrew Mario games and CheatDevice. It's really what keeps me happy about my PSP..

It might be like that, but there is no Aussie 2.80 according to the Aussie site, so it might just be 2.71 which you can Downgrade from.

 

Does anyone know any good games apart from LCS, VCS and MC3?

Well sony has released a new demo. Ridge Racers 2. Dark_Alex has released a decrypter so all of you devhookers, or 2.71 se users can play it. I decrypted mine, and I can say its a good game. Great physics and good graphics. Im more than sure to buy this game when it comes out.

Ok, f*ck it.. I've decided, I'ma have to get rid of my Homebrew Mario games and Cheats for Liberty City Stories..

So, If I reformat my memory stick, where can I get the latest update for UK? Or can anyone tell me any of the latest information for PSP?

also forgot to mention you can update via your psp if you use the wap~ as long as there's a wireless network nearby you can hook into

 

only demos ive got on the psp are loco roco and world tour soccer~

 

not bad for a "quick game" tho i doubt i'll spend for buying the full thing

PSP firmware 3.00 out soon...I wonder if there'll be an exploit in the PS1 BIOS emulator thing? Also, having just listened to the PSP Show #21, it seems to have been confirmed that PS3 uses a Linux build out of the box that you can run practically anything on. Doesn't make a lot of sense when they're constantly patching the PSP does it?
