Version 2 is the re-release of the game after the hot-coffee fiasco. Basically to bring the ESRB rating down from 18+ to M. The ability to see animated sex is lost along with the ability to mod the game all together. Yeah if you do that and play the games and get the saves, it will work with the second version game. edit : Well I know that installing mod in gta3.img is not permitted with the new version. It'll be Monday or thereabouts before I'm done. I have work I need to finish on some other stuff. I can't believe they were so STUPID as to break existing save files with a new version. Man, talk about goddamn stupid. They still advertise that you can modify the game to add things. You can't promote a feature or service that doesn't exist. That's a violation of the Federal Trade Commission Act. It also opens them up to a class-action lawsuit on behalf of every person who has bought version 2. I'm using version 1 with version 2 script files. This may take a little longer than I thought. I just don't have as much time on my hands now as I did back in July. Just like a clicked on Start new game. Anyone know why? I have the GTA:SA re-release if that makes a difference. In both cases, the game starts at the very beginning with the cutscene of CJ getting into the airport. I have version 2, and I'm wondering why these files still won't work for me. PLEASE HELP!! If you just need help getting by the one mission, you can use the Save N Play feature of the mission help forums where you post your game and a helper does that mission for you. Phockz Posted December 11, 2005 Share Posted December 11, 2005 i seem to be having the same problem a couple other people are having, that is, i put the save file in my gta folder in my docs, and it appears there, but when i go into it, its starts a new game... even though the save file says it's 'green goo'. is there something im not doing right? coz i really cant be arsed doing the toreno misions because 'monster' is giving me the sh*ts... thanks if you can help...
