fuckindumass
How do you mean there buddy? Blanks? The only other thing that I can think of for some diff. wheel is to swap out the axles of a newer RX7, GSL-SE I think, with the 5x4.5 Bolt pattern. As far as the adapters go, they'd be as skinny as possible, no Mexi-Wheels here. And yeah, I've heard they're dangerous, but I wont be jumping the car or anything. Just normal driving. Best possible route would be to buy a set of wheels similar to Joe's here, the Waffle-type (best I can describe them).  Oh, and just for S&Gs: Sorry, missed that until it was bumped...anyway, blanks would be wheels with the right size and offset for your car, but without the bolt pattern drilled. Some manufacturers will ship them undrilled, then you just have to find a competent machine shop to make the holes. (Other manufacturers will drill them as you wish) A careful check of the wheel would be required, to ascertain whether putting holes where you want them would be in a 'safe spot'. Â Yeah, but its a bit daft having 4 seats, theres literally about 20cm leg space in the back seats. No new headliner (original head was in a good condition, so we just left it alone), but all the carpets have been replaced. All sound dampener has been replaced as well, the car is so much quieter now. Stereo goes in next, got about 800 set aside for it (well, the first stage of it). So it shouldnt be that far off. Â Ahhh you got rid of it? damn you! But youve probably saved yourself alot of stress in the long run, rotaries can turn problematic very quick. But can turn addictive just as fast, i'd have a rotary over a V8 any day...
lurchseesu420
My uncle has a first gen rx7 2 seater . i think its an 81. He's had it since college (when it was brand new). He says its a fun and exciting car to drive but the upkeep for it is to expensive. So now he's selling it. I wish i could buy it from him but I'm saving up for my boss' 75 Porsche 914. Hell, maybe I'll be able to drive it once before he sells it. Â 2008 edit- Wow. I look back 2 years ago and see how that went to sh*t. Now I just want a 914 again. Â Yeah, but its a bit daft having 4 seats, theres literally about 20cm leg space in the back seats. It's the same in a 944, too. Bit of a waste of space, but at least there's room for others (Very little..) if needed.

It would seem no one wants to insure a 19 year old with traffic convictions. Its gonna end up costing me about 1700+ a year to get any decent cover on it...to give you an idea on my situation; i earn about 270 a week on my apprentice wage   mr_ed starts kicking random things

Yeah, 1700 was a bit optimistic on my part, but i dont think it'lll come close to what youre paying. Why so much over there? surely there cant be that much danger in a car that small (even though technically i drive a 1.3l lol).
JayC
British insurance companies are just complete arses is why.  I am 19 with no convictions, over a year driving with no convictions, drive a 1.25l Ford Fiesta and I just paid £870 for 10 months insurance.  My girlfriend however is only paying £120 on her 1.3l Ka and she has less experiance than me.
Cran.
I hate how all these insurance companies say women are better drivers. There's an ad on TV that goes on about "Women are better drivers. Fact" or something. I tell you, if it said "Men are better drivers. Fact" it would be sexist!
*gta star*
Women are better drivers ! ROFL ! I mean, they can't even judge the road, no offence, but I think asian women are really bad drivers... Â They park anywhere, they have poor judgement and hit other cars and take wing mirrors off. MindCorrupt
Just thought i'd bump this thread up, its been a couple of years since the car has had any progress and about 6 months since its ventured out the garage. The current 13b motor is on the way out and the diff is has seen much better days *cough* Â But my fianancial situation is alot brighter so i've decided to take the plunge and pump a few dollars into it. After a few chats with a fella down at a rotary specialist he's found me a relatively new engine just lifted from a race car. Tis another 13B motor but its been bridgeported with a weber carby and has a set of rx8 rotors and a lightened flywheel, should be good for about 250 horses. The fact that most of the parts i need are already on or with the motor is gonna save me a bundle. Â N/A suits me well as I really dont want the hassle that comes with turbo'd rotaries, and theres nothing like the sound of a big port rotary (the neighbours are gonna be stoked). Â Cant f*cking wait...
lurchseesu420
I think that this is the first topic in vehicle chat that I posted in. Brings back memories. Remember seeing the yellow kingswood on the first page which sent me into searching for what is was for a year or so only to find out from Cran that it was a nothing more than a f*cking lifted, decked-out station wagon. Â Oh and the powerplant sound cool. Gotta love a built rotary. Edited September 25, 2008 by lurchseesu420
epoxi
 Women are better drivers ! ROFL ! Those kind of accidents run into the millions.  Whereas even if you went down the street taking the side off every car, it'd still only run into a few thousand.  @ mr_ed: I have to give credit to you: you've done a great job. If that had happened to me, I'd just go out and buy another...but your efforts have really paid off. Edited September 25, 2008 by epoxi
