tomworld10 8 Posted September 23, 2005 (edited) UPDATED on 16/01/06 thanks to DeeZire for filling the gaps Hi Due to the lack of completion of my first post i do an update, and that's not off-topic (well, not for me....) I've added the ones found by [enforcA] (thanks to you for posting your findings , and to spaceeinstein who kind of got into it ), and added a few ones (actually a lot i think, it got way farer than i thought.... ). Anyway, here they are. I've found strange/usefull ones which can make your skills increase faster (look stat 97, 98, 99, 100) and decrease some other stats faster (look stat 102, 104, 105), it might have kind of the same for the weapon in the same zone but i wasn't able to get them out of their safehouse !!!!, and for food, like increasing of starvation or some, but have'nt found it neither. Notice that it really seems to have 2 different stat for food in the stomach and fat (21 and 245) but I'm not really sure of the way it works yet. The descriptions might be inaccurate or totally wrong but i tried to get as close as possible and i'm totally open to any correction or/and additions. research (it might not mean what i think it means but anyway, i got no better way to say it), i proceed a very simple way, i've just set the unknown/understood stat to their number with opcode 0629 for all them, then start the game and save the stat file. And after i just have to see which stat is set to it's number (you might have to change language to have distance in meter or just divide by about 3.33) like Weapon Budget $13.00 Fashion Budget $14.00 Property Budget $15.00 Auto Repair and Painting Budget $16.00 I now know that stat_13 = Weapon Budgetstat_14 = Fashion Budgetstat_15 = Money spent in propertystat_16 = money spent in spray'n paint because before in my main.scm i've added 0629: change_stat 14 () to 140629: change_stat 15 () to 150629: change_stat 16 () to 16 worked different for (97, 98, 99, 100, 102, 104, 105) because it was a funny thing when i spawned, in just doing a few meters running i've got the max health going up and being full right there, and the same driving skill, and again flying, underwater, cycling and fat and muscle, first i thought i f*cked up somewhere but after a few search i understood and finally spotted them, they were in the ones from 82 to 119, this big "hole" was bothering me anyway.... That's it !!!!! Have fun people on 16/01/06 thanks to DeeZire coz now there isn't much stat unknown left and you should find the stat you're looking for or the one you didn't even thought it exist so you can replace it by the one you're creating... Have fun Edited May 1, 2006 by tomworld10

Bigun 0 Posted November 30, 2005 Eh, man, sorry to tell you (im actually helping but meh), if you put the IDEs in same folder as Builder (like the link in my sig) you can specify models by #NAME (for example: #M4,#CHROMEGUN,#SAWNOFF,#SNIPER) and Builder will automatically detect and compile with the right ID. Still a somewhat useful list but you may want to add the model names as they're easier to remember and read.

Bigun 0 Posted December 5, 2005 Oh. Fair enough. Whichever builder you're using, maybe you could suggest the author to include that feature. hehe.
Y_Less 0 Posted December 5, 2005 He writes missions in a highly customised version of the SCM hook, i.e. in C/C++. He didn't write it but did alot of the modifications himself so yeah, bit hard (or easy) for him to get the authour to add something.

ceedj 27 Posted December 6, 2005 (edited) if you use c(++), you can just #define these lists, no? See, I never understood the point of using #defines for MB equivalents, when I can just look up a list (like that one) and grab the number I want. Oh well, I guess I just like doing things the hard way. Speaking of doing things the hard way, here is list of all the animations referenced by the SCM, grouped and with descriptions. Should be approved by tomorrow I guess. Note that I've only got about half the descriptions; I should have the rest finished by the end of the week. Why you can't upload a simple text file without zipping it is beyond me, but whatever. San An Animation List EDIT: It's now approved. That was quick. Demarest 22 Posted December 6, 2005 I think it's still worth posting the list regardless of whether the tool automates it just because variables can contain numbers and you might want it to call upon a model by a variable. All the cars can be called by name, but when I wrote Car Spawn, I used a number to make the entire code smaller by incrementing a variable and calling for it by the number in the variable. Demarest 22 Posted December 9, 2005 Yeah, I was toying around wit tha stats y'all posted, and stat 24 has nuthin to do wit health @ all. It tells u how many GS members you killed Check original code. Stat 24 is only read/written during the passing of Paramedic, the reward of which is your max health going up by 50%.
K-Dawgg007 0 Posted December 15, 2005 My bad. I'm a noob coder and i was toying around with the stats and I actually don't know what statID set the # of GS you killed but I knew y'all said that stat had sumthing to do wit health, because I was trying to set the max health to be 500 instead of teh normal 176, problem is it didn't do it and I chk'd the stats menu and it said: "GS members killed: 500" and I never killed a soul when I chk'd it either! Weird...
kornman00 0 Posted December 23, 2005 if you use c(++), you can just #define these lists, no? An enum would be better IMO, as the compiler determines the value of the enum member for you (the first member is always 0, unless you explicity mark it otherwise) . And using a name with a constant provides greater readability in your code. For you and anyone else who may be reading it (ie, people who are trying to help you figure out a bug). tomworld10 8 Posted January 16, 2006 Hi, Thanks a million Deezire for handing in all that work done it fills heaps hole and correct some of my mistakes. I've updated the last list i've done (one page back, no need for a link just the need for speed (and to wait to the next one coz it was a pretty to become da most wanted and nothing much to mod to expand to fun ...) because there is no use to repost it. tomworld10 8 Posted April 24, 2006 (edited) Hi, I'm sorry double posting but I think this worth a new post here. It should come handy for people. Sick of looking for the name string in scm which correspond to a gxt text entry ? It'll be all easy now, an example will speak for itself : 'FLATBED'// Flatbed'FLEV'// LEVEL'FLINTC'// Flint County'FLINTI'// Flint Intersection'FLINTR'// Flint Range'FLINW'// Flint Water'FLSAE'// Alien Exhaust'FLSAFF'// Alien Front Bumper'FLSARF'// Alien Rear Bumper'FLSARV'// Alien Roof Vent'FLSAS'// Alien Spoiler'FLSASI'// Alien Side Skirts'FLSCE'// X-Flow Exhaust'FLSCFF'// X-Flow Front Bumper'FLSCRF'// X-Flow Rear Bumper'FLSCRV'// X-Flow Roof Vent'FLSCS'// X-Flow Spoiler'FLSCSI'// X-Flow Skirts Now if you don't change the name enties you won't even need a gxt editor. It's not really my work because I've used AleX AciD's file (thank to him -read his post here-) which is the base of it. And then I used Sanny to make them corresponding. We should thank Seeman and his team about it because it's them who got it working. By the way : Thanks Seeman and his team . Because it's a pretty big file (13200 entries) get it here or view it here. Mirrored to get it here and to view it here. Well now it'll get verry easy finding the name of the text string you're looking for. I understand that anyone could do the same file for themself (took me actually less than 3 minute !!!!!, Sanny did it all) but now it's done and posted here to the reach of anyone. Oh, and I nearly forgot, I've got to say thanks to Microsoft because with their weird unknown tool named Excel it's been really really fast... . People, Have fun PS : I Hope Sanny's authors are alright with posting it. Don't think they wouldn't but... PPS : The gxt are about 17000 entries long, so if you find the file is not complete enough, there is still about 4000 left to find, have fun... Y_Less 0 Posted May 3, 2006 There should be instructions in the readme that came with the mod, if not, there are plenty of topcs around with that information in, just search a bit, this really isn't the right topic for new starters.

PLPynton 0 Posted June 27, 2006 I wonder what the other numbers are for... Those didn't do anything. i believe that can be second part of the hud not visible in default game. i was screwing around a bit once and seen there are parts of script with jump instruction before them, somewhere in beginning of mission scripts. if you avoid jumping you can see like 2 player hud. speaking of weird things did someone encounter execution of 2 main.scm at the same time? you play 2 actors at the same time and you controll them both. even every thread is doubled and so on. Demarest 22 Posted July 14, 2006 Back from a long hiatus. Maybe we'll be lucky and you'll actually put forth some effort this time and not make the same mistakes over and over again. If you want to know, write a routine that with a particular keypress, will increment a variable and force the weather to that variable. Document your findings and post. As much as you screwed with us in the past, you have no business asking for MORE help, especially when you can help yourself. Let's see if you can construct a proper if check this time. ceedj 27 Posted July 27, 2006 Someone above asked about the weather stuff, which I happen to have as part of San An Studios (I had to cut the text strings in the mod because I ran out of code space). This can be found in timecyc.dat, but here's the list anyway. Use with 01B6: set_weather int (int = number referenced below) 0 - Extra Sunny LS1 - Sunny LS2 - Extra Sunny/Smog LS3 - Sunny/Smog LS4 - Cloudy LS5 - Sunny SF6 - Extra Sunny SF7 - Cloudy SF8 - Rainy SF9 - Foggy SF10 - Sunny LV11 - Extra Sunny LV12 - Cloudy LV13 - Extra Sunny Country14 - Sunny Country15 - Cloudy Country16 - Rainy Country17 - Extra Sunny Desert 18 - Sunny Desert19 - Sandstorm Desert20 - Underwater21 - Extra Colors 122 - Extra Colors
Bigun 0 Posted July 27, 2006 @Space: Not meaning to be rude or unthankful, thanks for compiling the list, but can you give examples where it could come in use? Just wondering. Also maybe host it in a TXT file and edit the link in, it's a bit too long for a forum.
spaceeinstein 1,739 Posted August 2, 2006 (edited) You can reuse the variables if you are using the same thing. Or you can use it to see what the variables are for in the code. DeeZire 54 Posted August 3, 2006 @space & ceedj, thanks for those, they really helped In case anyones interested, you can fix the 'timy1' Pay N Spray in LV (the one that partially worked on the PS2 version) by using Tonywobs IPL editor. Just rotate the garage door by 180 degrees so it faces the opposite way when closed, then make a radar icon for it in the main.scm - works perfectly then.
