I think about 80% off all requests in Save N Play for GTA SA are for schools. Mainly for Pilot and Driving. Those MISSIONS are real pain in the ass confused.gifconfused.gifconfused.gif Unfortunately, there are no GOOD trainers or mods to help gamers with this problem. Pizzabox trainer only good when you are given a specific time to complete the mission and some mods like GTA Insanendreas 11 requires you to start new game and do not work with old saves. Can anyone make one to make our lives in San Andreas easier?!? confused.gifconfused.gifconfused.gif

I am not requesting a mod as such for myself, but any ideas in creting a mod or a trainer that could help people who need help with schools in GTA SA. Dont make a mistake calling GTA3 a small game and as I clearly said, its not for me but for the benefit of the whole GTA community. If you would check Save N Play forum you would see that Helpers mainly spend their time doing schools, esspecially Pilot and Driving, again and again. Schools are the most common problem that many people find in GTA SA. I think schools aslo can be one of the reason why some gamers would think twice before playing it again, at least in near future. You misinterpreted my position and request, and if talking about smaller games I think TETRIS would be much more suitable to offer sly.gifsly.gifsly.gif

 

GTA 3 is good game, but I would prefer Vice City. Luckily none of them had any schools as such smile.gifsmile.gifsmile.gif The reason why I did not posted this as request in Mods Request forum, is that because a lot of people would not like start game from scratch at this stage when most of them are nearly at the end, and you said it yourself thats how the mods work START FROM THE SCRATCH sly.gifsly.gifsly.gif and ther is already GTA Insanendreas 11 Mod avaliable. I simply asked for any sugestions or ideas that some one have or would like to use to create trainer or some kind of mod!

I also believe it does not make you start a new game because it doesn't alter the MAIN part. -Bigun

Doesn't matter who it's for, requests are requests. And you mentioned people don't like to start over. I'm a SCM coder. I already understand this. I wrote Timetwister and Timetwister VC so that people could have a foundation to test mods even on later missions without having to start over. As for the Save N Play, I am well aware of the usefulness it acts in terms of cursory data pertaining to who struggles where. I DID invent the service after all. wink.gif Furthermore, no need to reiterate because I read it in your first post.

 

So it boils down to you're requesting a trainer to pass the schools. My first post stands.

 

Last but not least, I'm the biggest GTA3 freak you'll ever meet. When I called it small, I was hardly making a derogatory remark. Part of the reason I love GTA3 is it's replayability. I've got my 100% blitz run down to 8h 21m. I don't even find SA enjoyable because it's too freaking huge. So relax. We're here for the fun of it colgate.gif

He didn't double-post. And if you can edit the school missions so you automatically pass them, but still keep them the same size (using NOPs and other padding OpCodes, jumped out soyou never reach them), then you will ba able to use save games on them and still have an easy ride. I would do it, but I don't have SA.

Incidentally, has anyone here tried the F*ck School mod? The one real feedback in the whole thread said it actually doesn't work beyond the driving school, and I haven't seen anyone incoporate this into their mods. I don't know....given how frustrating it is to try and get gold in all the schools, you'd think there would be a lot more mods that try to make it easier.

Yes, but there are benefits to achieving gold, such as the type of vehicle that spawn outside of the schools.

If you already cheat, you can use a car spawner trainer and top that completely...

I'm stricly against cheating, so meh, I don't really know what to say.

And I highlighted the "try it" part, yet you seem not to notice it.

That's a REALLY good point.

 

Benefits? They're just cars. The only one that changes the game at all is the Hunter because now Vigilante is cake. Of course you get a Hunter in the storyline anyways, so it's not crucial.

 

I'm with Bigun on this one. You only need a bronze and only a couple of the tests are hard to get bronze in. Maybe people are just reaching too far. Hardly worth the uproar. BUT, if there is a demand for such mods, then I agree there should also be a supply. Unfortunately, here is STILL the coding section, so restarting is inherent. And if we're talking about people who want "the pretty cars" but not willing to struggle for it, I doubt they're up for restarting. Can't blame them. SA is too large to make modding fun confused.gif

I have gotten gold in bike school (which was surprisingly easy), driving school, silver in boat school and bronze in flight school. Aside from bike school the other ones were just bloody frustrating (I think most GTA players are masochist smile.gif ). Now, if someone can change it such that what is needed to get bronze is sufficient for a gold award, people would not have to alt-tab out of the game to fire up the car-spawner right? smile.gif

 

Technically speaking, you still have to work for it, but once you get bronze you would get some really nice vehicles to choose from. I am not saying its terribly important, but it would nice smile.gif Anyway, one can dream....

Getting Bronze isnt like working, its like eating a pie.

 

And open up Car Spawner beforehand instead of having to alt-tab out.

Again, I am not agreeing with you Demarest. You and Bigun missing the point. As ripple correctly noticed there are benefits when you get GOLD. Also everyone want GOLD in their schools for the same reason why people don’t want to be wasted or being busted for the sake of their game stats (check Save N Play requests). Also you just repeating my words about trouble restarting the whole SA is the problem, so who is DOUBLE posting now?!?

if you want to get gold that bad . . . do it the old way pick up the controls and bloody work for it!!! im in agreement with you bigun and demarest, sa is to big for mods unless gta is fully modded. i dont really play sa, i find mods install them and look for more rather than play?!?! am i crazy sly.gif p.s i have beaten the game the honeset way 100% along with all gold medals no mods pure effort and hard work

yawn.gif Somebody get GTA some chill pills. I think the double post reference was in regards to the way that instead of saying everything you needed to in one post, you made it into two consecutive posts. No big deal either way.

 

When somebody makes a counterpoint, it doesn't mean they've neglected your point. It means they're providing another angle and you shouldn't take it personally. It is, after all, WHY two heads are better than one and the sole purpose of conversation to begin with. It IS true that it's often request in SNP. It IS true that it's not necessary for 100%. It IS true that the benefits are what's wanted. It IS true that those benefits aren't much different from the cars you jack the moment you start a new game.

 

Think about it. You're making your point by likening it to wanting a no kills/arrest claim. But what's the point of bragging rights if you yourself didn't do it? You're making your own counterpoint for us tounge.gif

You only need to restart if the MAIN section is altered. As long as you only alter the mission and ensure that your edits keep the mission size constant (which can be quite hard), so the mission declerations in MAIN aren't altered, a modified SCM will work on a save game.

In SA, they don't even have to stay the same size, do they? Aren't they all external? In 3/VC, they had to stay the same size because the addresses of later missions was already designated.

San Andreas coding initializes and runs some external scripts for parachuting and basketball and other smaller things.

 

In this thread, you consistently made it sound like restarting is absolutely required. As y_less said to everybody else here, that is not the case.

You did? When? The only other time I mentioned this recently was on the last page of this topic, and as far as I can see that post seemed to go completely ignored.

 

Missions are not external, only some threads are.
