GTA Series Videos
I've noticed in San Andreas some vehicles a lot darker colored than they are meant to be. After some tries to solve this problem I've realized that it comes from the DFF model. Here are two screens to show you this problem: Sandking (dark) |||||||||||||||| Slamvan (normal) The Sandking has this dark colour that "covers" his body. Normally it happens when you see a vehicle afar... The other vehicles are: Super GT, Uranus, Sadler and AT-400 (I haven't verified other vehicles). Can someone fix this problem by editing the DFF models? Edited July 20, 2005 by Budd

MavriX
I'm not sure so don't quote me on this..but wasn't this problem one of teh things supposedly fixed in the patch released by rockstar?
DexX
no. Rockstar corrected the darkness of vehicles after they explode, so they werent still shiny, even when charred. the "darkness" there on the stock vehicles is because those vehicles dont have any spec on their materials. The good news is that yes it can be edited. the models need to be imported into a 3d app, and have their materials adjusted appropriately.
