King of Liberty City
Well, I don't want to see this thread on the second page of a forum, so I might as well post my "Introduction". I'm guessing the timeline is before SanAn, as all the gangs are still up and runing. And sorry if bios are a little long, I just want to be detailed... Protagonists: Luke Martino Age: 24 Race: Italian Current Residence: The High Roller, Las Venturas. Bio: Luke grew up in Liberty, his father working for the Sindaccos, his Mother long sice dead. When Luke was 18 His father, Joe Martino, was beaten to death during a night at Marco's Bistro. Witnesses said that they saw men drag him out, and the Leone Family pointed the finger at the Yardies, though some suspect it was them who killed the man. After his father's death, Luke vowed never again to work for the Mafia. He fell in with the Purple Nines, working with them, and eventually becoming the gangs go to guy. But after a while, when he was 24, Martino wanted out from his gangster life, and moved out to San Andreas hoping for a nice life in Las Venturas. He got a job working at the High Rollers Casino as a bartender, but things soon became screwed up for Luke. The owner of the casino, Julian Anatoni, recognised his name, having been friends with Luke's dad. Anatoni told told Luke that if he joined the Sindacco Family Mafia, the Sindacco Family gangster would find out who killed Luke's father. Now Luke Martino must help the Sindaccos take over Las Venturas to find out the fate of his father. Julian Anatoni Age: 32 Race: Italian Current Residence: The High Roller, Las Venturas. Bio: Julian Anatoni has been working with the mob for as long as he could remember. In his teens and through his twenties, he was a hitman, working for the three main Mafia Families in Liberty. During many of his early jobs, he was partnered up with Joe Martino, a member of the Sindacco Mafia. While doing a job for the Sindacco Family, Anatoni met and became good friends with Johnny Sindacco, son of Don Mario Sindacco. Johnny introduced Julian to the Don, and Anatoni became well like within the Sindacco Family Mafia. After a few years of working only for the Sindaccos, the Don asked Anatoni if he would look after his new casino in Venturas. Julian quickly accepted, and went to Las Venturas as quick as possible. Now, in hopes of building up the Sindacco name in Venturas, he has enlisted the son of his old pal, Joe Martino, to help bring the other gangs of Venturas to their knees. James "Jimmy" Sindacco Age: 27 Race: Sicilian Current Residence: The High Roller, Las Venturas. Bio: Jimmy Sindacco is the younger of the two Sindacco brothers, sons of the Don. His older sibling, Johnny, is 30, while Jimmy is still in his twenties. James has always been working for his father, serving drinks at 10 and shooting thugs at 15. But he didn't quite understand the etiquette aspect of being a Sindacco. He would always try to do stuff by himself, instead of letting thugs do it for him. Jimmy would sneak away from "boring meetings" to go shoot some rival gang members. He was acting like a street punk instead of a Mafia man. So, when the Don got a new casino in Venturas, Jimmy was sure he would be in charge of running it. But his father gave ownership to Anatoni. Furious, Jimmy insisted that he should go to Venturas, not Julian. His father said he had made his decision, but Jimmy could go anyway. So now, madly jealous of Anatoni, Jimmy has moved to Venturas. But some believe that the young Sindacco will try to "bump off" Anatoni, giving him ownership of the casino. No one knows for sure, but this is certain: Sooner or later, war would come to Las Venturas. And it may be within only one gang... "The Bull" Age: 29 Race: Columbian Current Residence: The High Roller, Las Venturas. Bio: No one really knows what Bull did before he became a Sindacco member. But no one really cares. The Bull is the only Columbian in the Sindaccos, and is one of the most deadly. He is known for stomping rival gang members to death, hence the nickname "The Bull". Also, he is enormous, which contributed to the name. He has developed a fondness for Jimmy Sindacco, becoming the younger man's friend. They often work together, and Bull believes that sometimes Jimmy makes more sense then the Don. He is Jimmy's right hand man, and would do almost anything Jimmy tells him to. Almost anything.... Wel, that's it. Hope you guys like it! Edited July 25, 2005 by King of Liberty City

King of Liberty City
I want to take The Leone Family, Caligulas Palace... Ohhhhhh, better watch out for some healthy competition from the Sindaccos! Well, here's Chapter One, "Full House beats Two Pair.". And johnson, I may be wrong, but don't I recieve money for my "Introduction"? P.S- If you see the characters use bad grammar, it's not a mistake. They just talk like that. "The High Roller", Las Venturas, San Andreas. "Oh, son of a bitch this game's fixed!" yelled Jimmy Sindacco, for the fifth time that night, rising from his chair. He was in the top floor of of the casino, the V.I.P room. Julian Anatoni, sitting across from him, put his hands behind his head, a smug smile on his face. The Bull laughed, looking at Jimmy's measly two of a kind, then to Julian's straight flush. "C'mon Boss!", chuckled the Columbian, "You don't bet 75 chips when you have a low hand!" The Sindacco sat back down, snorting at Bull's remark. "It's called bluffin'!" This made The Bull laugh more, and even brought a chuckle out of Anatoni's mouth. Julian picked up the cards and started shuffling them. "Okay ladies, what do you say to one more round?" asked the Italian. Jimmy shook his head angrily. "Hell no!" he replied, "I'm hungry! Let's go hit the restaurant downstairs!" "Do you got any idea how late it is? It's 2:00 am! Nothin's open that late!" explained Anatoni. But Bull intervened. "Nah, the Burget Shot next to the Visage is open!" said The Bull. Jimmy looked out the window. And sure enough far away, next to the Visage, he saw the Burger Shot's lights reflecting onto the street. He licked his lips hungrily. "Then what we waiting for? Let's go!" exclaimed the Sindacco. Anatoni grumbled and got up, followed by Bull. When they reached the elevator, right when Julian was about to press the button to the main floor, Bull shouted. "Wait ese! I don't want to drive! Go get the new amigo! Y'know...Luke or Duke or somethin'!" Julian nodded tiredly and pressed the button that lead to the hotel suites. * * * * Luke Martino awoke to find a huge Columbian standing over him. "Get up new guy! We going to the Shot, and you're driving!" whispered the huge man harshly. Luke groaned. He remembered seeing this guy when Julian had introduced him to the others earlier that day. "This is The Bull." Anatoni had said, "Don't get in his way, or he might step on you." So now, wearing boxer shorts and no shirt, Luke was in The Bull's way. He nodded, and slowly got up. It was like he was in the jungle, and trying not to anger the beast. He wanted to get away from Bull, so Luke slipped on a crumpled yellow shirt, a burgundy jacket, and some brown khakis as fast as he could. Bull lead him outside, where Julian and Jimmy Sindacco were waiting in a dark red Mafia Sentinal. Jimmy glared at Luke as the younger man got into the driver's seat. "What took ya' so long, pal? Think you can make a Sindacco wait?" accused the Don's son. "Of course not, sir. We'll be there before you know it Mr. Sindacco." replied Luke, making sure Jimmy felt like he was in charge. And with that, Luke started up the engine and started off towards the Burger Shot. He didn't have the slightest idea why classy Mafia men were going to a run down burger joint, but he assumed they were just hungry. On the way there, Jimmy and Julian made small talk about the casino's earnings, what they were doing right with the place, and how they could improve the High Roller. Maybe he was just tired, but it seemed to Luke that Jimmy was trying to find more faults with the way Anatoni was running the casino then he was good things. As they neared the Burger Shot, Luke yawned and spoke. "So...we going Drive Through or what?" asked Martino. Julian snorted when Luke said Drive Through. "We've already degraded ourselves enough by choosing to get these burgers, so we have to maintain some dignity by sitting at a table while we eat!" grumbled Anatoni. It was decided then. They went in, and made there way to the cash register. "Hello kind sirs! How may I serve you today?" asked the cashier in a disturbingly cheery voice. Luke turned around to face Bull, Julian, and Jimmy. "What do you guys want?" he asked, looking at Bull first. "Eh, a double double with cheese, ese!" replied Bull. Luke turned to Anatoni. "Just a cheeseburger for me. Hold the pickles." said Julian. Finally, Luke's eyes went to Jimmy. "Let's see...how bout' a man sized burger, with extra bacon, lettuce, and pickles. But no mayo. If I find any mayo, so help me God I'll.-" Sindacco left it at that, glaring at the cashier. She didn't flinch. "And you, kind sir?" the cashier asked, in that same creepy tone. Luke looked at the menu, that replied. "Just a salad for me." Jimmy coughed "Pussy". Bull chuckled. Luke pretended he didn't hear. In a few moments, the food had arrived, and the group sat down at a table. They ate in silence, occasionally saying "pass the salt' or "this meat is undercooked". Suddenly, they all heard a loud gunshot. Luke looked at the cash register and saw two thugs pointing their guns at the cashier. "Put the motherf*ckin' money in the motherf*ckin' bag!" screamed one of them, at the no longer cheeful cashier. "Nobody move!" shouted the other. There was a stunned silence, and then people started crying and getting under the tables. Luke, Anatoni and Bull started going under their own table. Luke stopped and whispered to Jimmy, who hadn't moved an inch. "Mr. Sindacco! Get under the table! I know they're just street punks, but right now, they're the ones with the guns!" Jimmy didn't even hear Luke. Instead, the Sindacco's hand was moving towards his pants pocket. "Mess with my Burger Shot will they? I don't think so." mumbled the young Sindacco. Eventually, Jimmy's hand reached the pocket. Luke thought he was going to pull out a gun. Instead, Jimmy pulled out a watch. There comes a time in every man's life where you want to stop something from happening, but even more of you wants to see it happen. This was happening to Luke Martino right now. Luke watched Jimmy slowly wrap the watch around his own fist, then crouch into his seat, as if preparing to leap. Luke watched, wide eyed, and before he knew it he was sitting up too, hoping to stop Jimmy from jumping. Luke failed. Jimmy Sindacco ran up to the cash register and punched swiftly into one man's neck. The man dropped to the ground, stunned . Just as Jimmy was going to inflict another blow upon the thug, the other punk raised his gun, loaded it and was going to shoot Jimmy Sindacco right in the head. Right when the robber's finger was millimetres away from the trigger, Luke charged up to him and smacked the Colt out of his hand. Luke picked up the gun, aimed it at the still confused street punk, and pulled the trigger. There was a click. Nothing happened. Luke pulled the trigger again. Another click. Nothing happened. Bull and Julian, who had come up to help their comrades, looked at the gun in surprise. "Its no loaded amigo! The pendejo faked us out!" exclaimed Bull. The thug looked down at his now dead and broken companion, then made a lunge at the door. But, it seemed this wasn't his day, as The Bull's giant hand swooped down and grapped the man by the neck. And twisted. There was a loud SNAP!, then Bull dropped the robber's limp body by the one Jimmy had bleat up. There was a long silence. The cashier, arms still in the air, looked confused and scared. Jimmy, his fist and watch now dampened by blood, started walking towards the exit. Bull, Julian, and Luke followed. Finally, back in the Sentinal, Jimmy let out a sigh of relief. "Remind me never to go here again." he whispered. This was followed by the others saying "Yeah'. Luke drove the car out the parking lot, and was about to tear it home when two figures appeared about 8 yards away from them. Bull leaned out the window. "Hey, amigos! Go home and get out of our damn way!" shouted the Bull. The figures looked at the car, and started walking towards it. It was then Luke realised they were holding Uzi's. And they were dressed exactly the same as the thugs in the Burger Shot. A bullet pinged of the side of the car. "Drive.' breathed Anatoni. And Luke did. He tore down the road, coming closer and closer to the two new punks. When they realised the car wasn't stopping, the thugs started walking away. Then running away. The tried to run, but the car was too fast. There was a CRUNCH as Luke drove over both of the street gangsters. Jimmy looked back at the bloody mess that was the two thugs. "Haha! Ya did good, kid! Look at them! They're nothin more but stains on the concrete!" laughed the Sindacco. Bull joined in the laughter, and soon enough Julian was laughing too. Luke couldn't help but join in. This really wasn't how he expected to spend his time at 3:00 in the morning. * * * * It was 3:30 am when Luke finally made it back into his bed in his hotel suite. It never seemed more cozy. Anatoni had walked Luke back to his room, and was standing the doorway. "Ya did good back there Luke. Come see me in the morning, and I'll see what jobs you could do." said Julian. Luke looked back at him, his brow furrowed. "Don't forget our deal, Mr. Anatoni. I work for you, you tell me about my father.' Julian chuckled and whispered. "Oh I won't forget, Luke. I'll never forget." There ya go! End of Chapter 1! Edited July 27, 2005 by King of Liberty City

Forelli_Boy
OOC - Leones? Sindaccos? Pffft. Anyway. One thing I remember from that very first BUYG was the players' ability to include other players' characters in their stories, long as they didn't immediately kill off the character and such. Maybe we could stir up a bit with that? Or are we not safe from the tweakers yet? @Johnson: Can we also get a Kuruma pasted on the car list? Thanks. Chapter 2: Reacquainted Something wasn't right. Zeno's eyes opened suddenly, and he found himself staring at the ceiling, the lights still on. He frowned and just as quickly sat up on the mattress, scanning his surroundings. He was still in that hole in the wall at Eddie's Boiler Supply. 'Well, I'm still alive...' he thought with a slight hint of regret. He plunged one hand into his pocket and withdrew his pager. Still on, batteries charged. No new messages. He dragged himself off the mattress and stood up, slowly advancing toward the door. It was still locked, so he was still safe inside. For the moment. He slowly unlocked the door and kicked it open to a narrow view of the river and Staunton Island under the El tracks. The sun was already setting over the Staunton skyscrapers, creating quite a bit of glare. Zeno did not have time to appreciate the view, taking a quick peek at the corners of the alleyway and the top of a nearby staircase before recoiling back inside, glueing himself to the wall next to the light switch. Zeno took a half-hearted sigh of relief, as he'd managed to survive his first day in a city that apparently did not forget he'd existed. But somehow he doubted that only the Cartel had noticed his return, especially in Portland. Perhaps he'd come back a little too soon, though it wasn't as if he'd come back of his own free will... He slid his hand about the wall to hit the light switch. Instead of the lights going out, the walls began to vibrate. The source of the sound came from just outside...in the direction of the garage. Zeno clung to the wall and slid around the doorway, outside and around to the garage. He also made a note to himself to get a gun as soon as he could. He stood back as soon as he saw what was inside. And smirked and suppressed a laugh. Inside the garage was a late-model turquoise Kuruma. It looked like it hadn't been driven in years, but otherwise it was intact. He approached the driver's side window. The car was not only unlocked...the keys were still in the ignition too. Zeno turned the keys toward 'ACC'. The air conditioning switched itself on, circulating a fairly dusty breeze throughout the cockpit. The radio also switched on, to the easy vibes of Lips 106. He also heard a series of beeps, starting slow and getting faster. He quickly switched the car off, plunging himself back into silence. Back to 'ACC' again. The beeps came back again, resuming their tempo and getting even faster. This time Zeno could tell where they came from. He switched off the car and reached for the glove compartment. His heart sank. There was a bomb filling up the entire glove compartment, wired to the engine. If he had started the car, the resulting explosion would have incinerated him instantly and blown a deeper hole in the wall. The bomb had three lights, one each of green, yellow and red. The yellow light was on, and he took it that green was safe and the red was the last light he'd ever see, no pun intended given he was bunking at the very edge of Portland's Red Light District. Something was oddly familiar about the car. Another series of beeps, these beeps in melody, coming from the direction of his pocket. Zeno suddenly braced out of reflex. Obviously, the explosion never came. He took another look at the bomb...still on 'yellow.' There was only one possible explanation now. He reached into his pocket and pulled out the pager. There was one message. - "GET UR ASS OVER HEER NOW. - MARCOS." Zeno slowly took the keys out of the ignition. Then he closed the glove compartment and slid out of the car. He shut the door with just enough force to lock it in place. As he closed up the rest of his place he made a note to himself to figure out how to deactivate the damn thing. But the car's familiarity seemed more important as Zeno got on the subway train to the garage. "Joo know I'm not happy to see you come back here." Marcos grumbled as Zeno entered the garage an hour later. "Yeah, I know." he replied with a hint of sarcasm. "Jus' be lucky I never had Miguel shoot you." Zeno kept silent. "ANYWAY. Miguel's holding a little contest in a couple of days between his new drivers. He wanna see who gets to be his personal driver, and I signed joo up. He told ME to tell YOU to steal a van. Any kind. Bring it back intact, cuz his boys will need it too. Now get out of here." "Hang on. What happens next?" "If I knew, joo think I wouldn't tell you?! Vamos!" Zeno closed his eyes and took a deep breath before making his way to the door. Marcos caught him in the doorway. "Oh, you know what? I almost forgot. Bring it to my brother Diego's actually. He's got his own branch at Portland Docks. NOW. Vamos." Zeno got himself to the parking lot behind Francis International Airport and ducked behind a parked tractor trailer, waiting for a Rumpo to pull up. Whenever he passed the airport he always noticed one in particular parked in the same corner - closest to the roadway. The one advantage of Rumpos were two small windows on each side close to the rear, perfect for gunmen. Hopefully that wouldn't be compromised by the van's hide. Sure enough, a dark green Rumpo pulled into the parking lot. Its owner didn't suspect a thing. Zeno stuck to the wall behind the trailer as the van approached its usual parking space. He advanced toward that same corner once the van came to a stop. The driver stepped out of the van. Zeno snuck around back and elbowed him at the top of the spine, knocking him out cold. He dragged the body behind the tractor trailer - way out of sight of the tollgate guard - and withdrew the keys. Zeno was able to drive the Rumpo out of the parking lot without the guard catching on. The drive back to Diego's was uneventful, save for an incident at Bedford Point which began with a Police car suddenly pulling ahead and swerving to a stop, blocking off the Rumpo's path. The officer inside - a rather generic donut-munching porker - got out and pointed his standard-issue 9mm straight at Zeno, the intercom announcer in the other hand. "Driver, get out of the van, and put your hands behind your head." The cop was dead serious. Serious enough that nearby pedestrians broke off of their predetermined routes to work to view the commotion. Zeno hesitated to even reach for the door handle. As if the car bomb wasn't big enough of a surprise this morning. "I REPEAT. OUT OF THE VAN, HANDS BEHIND YOUR HEAD." the cop blared as Zeno complied. Not even his driving skills could make a van like this outmaneuver several police cruisers, and if he had a weapon right now he certainly was not ready to start a shootout in the middle of a busy Staunton street. The cop approached Zeno slowly, gun still pointed at his suspect's face. Zeno caught the cop's nametag as he got close enough - Gianetti. Gianetti turned him around, thrusting the gun's nozzle into the back of Zeno's neck. BUSTED? "Start walking." Gianetti whispered ominously into Zeno's ear, pointing ahead of Zeno toward what looked like a path down. The cop then started shouting to the crowd as the two started walking. "Okay folks, get back to work, nothing to see here!" he said, feigning reassurance. Surprisingly, the crowd actually started to disperse. Zeno took a couple of glances before the cop prodded him with the gun, ordering him to "keep walking." The march down the path eventually led to an old wooden pier not dissimilar in construction to the bridge in Staunton. Gianetti escorted Zeno toward the edge of the pier, the planks slowly starting to descend into the water. The planks creaked with age, as if they could collapse at any moment. They stopped at water's edge, at which point Gianetti cocked his gun. "Get on your knees, face the damn ocean. Keep your hands behind your head." Zeno slowly complied. As if today didn't hold enough surprises already. "S**t...isn't this a little excessive, even for bent cop police brutality?" "Hmph. You think I'm doing this out of normal procedure, Zeno Forelli? Tell that to the Don." It then clicked in Zeno's mind that bent cops - in particular - always had connections to the European gangs. Irish and Russian Mobs, but most especially the mafia. These connections had probably led the cop to take such a spontaneous, drastic action against what would otherwise be just another unlucky and/or stupid first-time car thief. The only real European gang left operating in Liberty City the last time the smoke cleared... was the Leone Family Mafia. "Yeah? Tell Salvatore to go f-" The gun's handle smashed into the side of Zeno's face, thrusting him to the ground close to the edge of the pier. "AAAAAGH!" "Shut it, Forelli. Least when I'm done here, not even your boys at the Cartel will know you came back." Gianetti pulled the trigger. Or tried to. "Hey, what the...!?" The force of the blow had locked the gun's safety. "Stupid standard issue..." Zeno took advantage of the moment to swipe Gianetti off his feet with a quick leg sweep. The fat cop fell over backward, landing with a flabby thud on the planks, causing them to cave just deep enough to lock Gianetti into a groove. The gun jerked up and away from Gianetti's hand and clattered off the pier into the water. "Ugh...f**k. You...won't get away with this..." the dazed cop grumbled as Zeno crept around the newly-formed pit and back to dry, concrete land. He didn't look back at Gianetti as he walked back up the path, the cop's cursings slowly fading in the distance before suddenly coming to a stop with a splash. Oddly enough, as soon as he made it back up onto the street he noticed that the police car that blocked him off was missing, and the Rumpo was right where he left it. Several angry commuters were trying to weave around it. Zeno made his way across the street before arriving back at the van. Some time later, he pulled the Rumpo to the front of the Import/Export Garage at Portland Docks. The garage door opened to reveal a man who looked eerily like Marcos. "Ay, Zeny! I was expecting joo!" he called out as Zeno parked the van and got out. "Marcos?" "Nah, Diego! Joo talkin' bout my twin brother." Zeno grinned as Diego looked over the van. "Not bad, guero. Joo be using this for the contest?" "Marcos told me about a contest but he didn't say anything else." "Yeah, I don' know nothing else either. Anyway." Diego approached Zeno and exchanged a small wad of bills - $200 or so - for the keys to the van. "Here's something for your effort. Joo get joorself something to eat. I'll seeya when I seeya, eh?" "Sure. Later." Zeno shook Diego's hand and left. He decided to walk back to his place, after all it was on the same island. He arrived back at his place past midnight with a 9mm, extra cartridges and a hunter's knife with holster from AmmuNation, inconspicuously tucked into the bottom of a plastic Supa Save shopping bag underneath several frozen dinners, a basic toolkit and a pack of extra underwear. The first thing Zeno did when he got back was remove the toolkit and toss the entire bag onto the mattress, spilling the rest its contents. He locked his room and transferred himself to the garage, keys and toolkit in hand. Garage door closed and, he would spend the rest of the night on his new machine. Mission Complete!
