A CPU is a very small part of a computer, and in fact, you can't see it when you open the case. You'll have to remove the CPU fan and all that jazz. That's almost worse than calling a case a harddrive.
Luke15
*cough* i meant the processor was a AMD 100mhz. Also i didnt have a fan, an there was bearly anykind of heat sink inside.
Knightmare
If your a dolt and cannot get the case off then pull down on the black "L" shaped button on the back then slide the siding off. This is how all the new Dell case's are. Although I thought you had to pull the black L thing up? Either way, you have to push/pull the black L thing and then slide the panel back. Took me a few minutes to figure out when I went home and put in a new video card for my brother. Unfortunately the mobo had no AGP ports- Off-topic: Is AGP going extinct already? I know PCIe was coming in but I didn't think AGP was going out quite yet? The PC was cheap though. Thanks -shaDow
Cran.
Must just be the motherboard. My friend got a AMD 64 3000+ with 512MB of ram, but forgot to ask me for my advice and forgot to buy a video card, and was left with intergrated until I came along and got him one from a dad's friend. Anyway.. that motherboard had AGP. It was a socket 754 one anyway, but still many new computers that come from small shops have AGP. Most of the big brands for some reason now seem to be using all PCI-e to make the computers sound high tech, but the video cards are complete sh*t. chenjx1983
i had a pci-e myself, but, what's the major difference betwee those two? i heard from my friend that they have the same speed
boobtronic
I for one, am glad that someone with his mental capacity couldn't get it open.
GTA3Freak-2001
Technically AGP is starting to become the "PCI" back when AGP first came in but I'd say its still got use for at least the rest of this year. If your buying a new PC PCIe is the way to go as its futureproof.
