I'm also a pirate, downloaded a dozen of torrents and I haven't been caught yet.

greebo-man
My parents havn't explicitly told me that i can't play GTA, but i have a bad feeling that if i told them, they could take them away. I have bought all my games off friends, which makes it annoying, as i only get to play them when my mates get bored. It's annoying when i see games like Vice City for a couple of quid in a second hand shop, but i cant buy it 'cause the shopkeper will never sell it to me. I play san andreas on a tiny little 8-inch telly that i picked up at a car boot sale, and when somebody comes up the stairs, i turn off the telly and pretend i'm reading a book or whatever. But after about two years of paranoia and secrecy, i just 100%ed san andreas a few nights back, and i am content. I'm fourteen, by the way. kidfrost37
My first time playing GTA was when I played SA at my friends house. I bought it a couple months later, and I still play it to this day (I'm 13 now). I don't consider myself a kid, though. I consider myself a young adult. I've been playing Grand Theft Auto since I was 10, (I'm 14 now) and do I want to go out killing people? No. I also consider myself to be a young adult, even though I'm not that old yet. Very, very few people like that. 2) His point is not that people shouldn't play the game, his point is really that parents will need to play the game first to see if their kids are mature enough to handle a game like that. He's not bashing the game, he's just recommending a precaution for parents to take before they let their kids play the game, which i think is fair enough. NiSsAn_BoY: Yeah, I got your point. Levi
Bah. It has yet to be proved that the violence in videogames is "harmfull" to a child's behavior. When considering the strong language I can say that they will propably hear stronger language on tv.

GTA-Mods-For-Life
Even though my birthdate on this account is diffrent, I am 12 and a GTA player. When I play GTA, I don't go outside, buy an UZI and shoot the police, I just act normal. By the way, whoever said that the children's parents are screwed up if they let their child play GTA, that is one bad stearotype. My parents are fine and they know what the game has in it. They read about GTA but they know that I can handle it. They trust me that I'm mature enough to play GTA.
CarnageRacing00
Take my word for it... When you children grow up and become wise, you will fully understand why it is that these games are not intended for children. I know you don't see it now, I know it feels unfair and like you're being treated as unequal... but someday you'll understand. I know this because I was once the same way... I thought age restrictions were stupid (in some cases, they are) but now I am 23 and I fully understand and agree with the GTA series being intended for mature teenagers and up only. I sympathize with you, I do... but I do not think you should be playing these games. Your general attitude and behavior is proof that you're learning your respect from a game that has none. Good words mate, good words. I'm nearly 15 now, but I reckon I'm mature enough and intelligent enough to be playing a game like this, regardless of the age restrictions. I think it's a little stupid to strictly follow all laws regarding age restrictions, but to always think within reason. Like, in my opinion, people shouldn't be playing a game which is intended for those people at least 5 years older than they are, and with supervision as well. GTA-Mods-For-Life
I have played every GTA there is to play, (Including GTA1, Londan and GTA2) but my point is that I don't become a psycho after playing it. I can understand why they put the rating (everyone should) but it isn't necessarily just age, it's mostly just how mature are you. When I compare myself to some people that are older than me, I consider myself more mature just for the fact that they overuse internet chat too much. They might know more but they don't show it. Except, my parents looked at the game first, and my dad had a talk with me to see if I was mature enough to play the game. Luckily, I was. Same thing happened with III and San Andreas, but when I got Liberty City Stories, I was 12 and my parents knew I was mature enough to handle a game like that.
