Demarest
Grab a program that opens TXDs and check it out. But don't ever touch txd.img and txd.dir. Those are for the game to handle only. If you need to dive into them, you instead delete them and dive into gta3.img. NathanHenry
Thanks for the info on opening up the txd files but I need to know what the TXD.DIR file is in the GTAIII/models folder and what part does it have in GTAIII. Demarest
And as I said in this topic and in PM, you do NOT need to know what it is. You'll never touch it except to delete it. To answer your question, it's the textures converted for your graphics card. To this day, I'm not sure anybody knows WHY they need converting at all. I do know that when I switched from nVidia to ATI, I had to reinstall the game. Otherwise, it wanted to recreate them every single time I played.
