This is a game coming out by Take Two, the publishers of the GTA series. It will be an MMORPG similar to the GTA world.

Do you have any more info or a website for that?

Ive played quite a few mmo's and theyre all the same just with different skins. Do missions, farm money, buy better equipment, power level, max yourself out and go do pvp. If an mmoprg like gta came out where you could just grab a gun and go to work without having to do that boring repetitive crap, it would be highly succesful, it would probably completely change the genre and developers would stop putting out this crap they call games.

EDIT: nm I didnt see the link, thanks.

GTA:SA was a "buld up" game.

Personaly I think most MMORPG have the totaly wrong idea as far as leveling goes. Any one should be able to engage and stand a chance aginst any thing another character can, dispite time in the game. Does my beeing 25 give me a better chance to shoot and hit a target than it does a 16 year old? Nope. Does my 10 years practice in target shooting help? Most likly, but it is not garunteed. What is needed is a much more flexable system, where all usuable skills are given a min and max setting. Min still quite usable. Learned skills naturaly would be handled differntly. Personaly I like the idea of giving each character 1 starting hald max learned skill, a few other taged skills at random %. Working on any skill would raise it (in any enviroment). Seriously people PL any way, cater to it. If the game is fun in the early stages people will not PL. But if they are powerleveling it is because they do not enjoy the game where they are and would like to skip that part (hint, hint!! (never know which game CEO might be reading).

Gear should of course make a large differance, as in many games it does, except for loot. If any one could answer me the fact of why A_Large_Spider collects gold, gems and some times random trinkets, yet a city gard often does not have so much as a copper and a rusty short sword? Should not the gard have a full set of nearly uniform Likly leather armor, a sword, boots, breeches, a few coin, perhaps a bit of bread and cheese, likly some water, and possibly a few trinkets. Where as the spider would have. . . spider meat (hey it is giant!), protine based, possibly highly bashed shell, and silk.

GTA would work well multi player I think, if the AI was beefed alot. Basicly police respond better to minor infractions (speeding, traffic, ect), and less to major. Seriously how long do you think it takes for the police to deal with some one with a RPG launcher and a gattlin gun? Yet you need to quickly esclate from 1-3 stars if the police are still on you. Running from police usualy does not make them go away tounge2.gif
