btw, the bug #34 is not related to B2R:

 

34. DEV BUG: Colonel's house is open at start

I experience it with a clean install too. I think, but I'm not sure at all, that it could have appeared when I patched my game up to 1.01

Anywho's I know Im dreaming again with the ideas but thought I'd run this by ya. A mod I found on a German modding site (gta-worldmods.com ) hosts a mod that rewrites the bus system, to an actual BUS system. You may remember in VC , you had the ability to make extra moola by picking up and dropping off people by using the coach's. I thought it through... if you were to gain acceptance to use his mod in your mod, just the IPL and map files , you could write some hefty transporting scripts , lets say like the taxi portion of the mod (being able to select destinations. ) How difficult would it be to write a similar script, just with the bus? Have the bus come to the stop, the vehicle slows, a marker appears in front of the passenger side, you get inside... Menus... GO! . The only problem is the terrible driving AI, in which everybody seems to have the experience of a race car driver, then the next, no more than a baby on steroids.

 

Anyways I am happy to hear all is going well for the mod, hoping to see it soon biggrin.gif

Gawd no, a simple patch would've been released by now. The change in version number (from 3 to 4) implies a total rewrite. (whole number = version, decimal numbers = bugfixes and small changes - examples: 3.1a, 3.11, 3.19 etc.)

Err, my taxi mod offers the ability to select your destination but it does NOT use a menu system because it doesn't need one. Additional vehicle transports like this are in dev. For buses, it would need to be handled differently... perhaps like the mod you described.

So, I try this great mod, "back to reality". But I've got two problems with.

 

1)Fuel is very, very expensive ! 15$ ! if you want to have a car with full, it cost over 1000$ ! Not realistic.

And when a car is empty, it's impossible to brake...

 

2)Credit card. What utility ? What can i do with credit card ?

Yes I know angry.gif I cant read german, I put a translator to it yesterday. I wondered why I sat there for fifteen minutes with no bus. But still none the less its a start is it not?

Both of these issues have been fixed in the upcoming release 4.0.

Peds drop credit cards when killed. Take these credit cards to ATM machines to retrieve money if the card is good. It's best if you just play and discover...

Deathdime: I could still create a bus route that does pickups/dropoffs but to be honest, it would be more of an illusion than actuality. The buses would "appear" to be enroute etc. To create realism for this would require extremely heavy code... (randomizing, times of day, days, zones etc.) I personally don't think I will bother unless a grand alternative idea pops into my head.

I am actually testing out Ashcratt's APE program. Im going to see if I can place spawns for bus's by the stops, Ive been messing with it all day, So hope all goes well tounge.gif

I messed with the program and wasn't able to do much before having to read it a billion times, when it occurred to me... Whats one of the most repeated vehicles in the game?... A guess? ... The Taxi! Which kind of give opportunity to change it up a little but also isn't THAT drastic seeming there's more than one taxi vehicle (cabbie ) . I dont know if its such a good idea, just something that popped into my head.

Il y a un distributeur facile à trouver en passant par la petite rue entre la maison de Cj et celle de ryder puis en traversant la route.

tu as pensé à remplacer le fichier GTA.dat ??? il le faut pour que les distributeurs apparaissent.

Did you replace your GTA.dat file? it is necessary to make the ATM's appear.

Le prix de l'essence est ici je pense (coût de l'essence: 10$) attention, il faut mettre un nombre entier!

 

I think the line(s) containing the price of petrol are these:

Integers only! (please correct me if I'm wrong!!!)

That would mean petrol costs 10$:

 

0109: set_player $2 add_money -10 

 

Pour décompiler le MAIN.scm sans souci, je crois que tu dois utiliser le fichier sascm.INI fourni dans l'archive (mettre sascm.INI dans le dossier SANNY Builder > DATA

Mais je viens d'essayer, et à priori je n'ai pas d'erreurs.

 

To decompile the SCM, you need to put the file sascm.INI in your SANNY Builder > DATA folder

I just tried, but no errors.

Yes, ça fonctionne. J'ai réussis à décompiler le truc, et j'ai modifié la ligne que j'avais déjà trouvée en cherchant un peu. J'ai mis le litre à 1$: Maintenant le plein complet coute 100$, on est dans des prix beaucoup plus réalistes.

100 dollars for a full tank of gas is a realistic price indeed ... if you're european. But in the states fuel is only half as expensive. Keep that in mind if it's realism you're after.

Et Effectivement, il y a bien 2 :CRANES dans le fichier... Alors je me demande comment il a pu être compilé avant ?

J'ai essayé en renommant un des 2, mais le jeu plante par moments...

Le problème du fameux label "cranes" redéclaré, je l'avais aussi, et c'était un bug de DEcompilation. Il fallait que les fichiers MAIN.scm et SCRIPT.img de l'archive b2r soient côte à côte dans le même dossier lors de la decompil', ils vont ensemble. Si je me souviens bien (c'était qd même il y a 6 mois) ça a résolu le problème.

I had the "label "cranes" redeclared" too, it was a DEcompilation bug. If I remember right, the files MAIN.scm & SCRIPT.img

from the b2r archive had to be in the same folder while decompiling because they are linked together (It was like 6 months ago, so... confused.gif )

Alors j'ai réussit à recompiler le truc sans erreurs... Mais heu maintenant GTA plante quand je lance une nouvelle partie...

 

So, I succed to compile main.scm whitout error. But now, GTA crash when i launch new game. So bad !

HEY

I'm not certain but I caught one bug with the tirefix. At least it's with me, don't know about you. When the sphere appears and you go through it, tire appears in the trunk, but if you don't pick it up and you just leave the game crashes. I added 0206(if I remember correctly) or if the player is near the car jf remove ref and destroy tire, after adjusting z_angle of the object(tire) in the miniloop. It solved my crash, I hope it's just on my comp, but I wanted to let you know.

Also can someone tell me on which pages are the tyre fix mod and credit/ATM mod and other mods.I tried looking for them,but there are too many pages sad.gif

You have to press Group control back + Conversation - No to start mission

Hello. I wanted to know if there is any way I can make Leviathan able to lift cars in a proper way, because right now it can just elevate normal cars 1 meter (3.3 feet), which is not raelly useful as cars get smashed almos all the time and also when I try to lift heavy things the helicopter is pulled to the ground and goes throgh it mercie_blink.gif .

Yes, edit its line in the handling.cfg file. See this guide: http://projectcerbera.com/tutorials/gtasa/...ling/definition - I believe thrust is what you're looking for.
