If you want to include his plane to B2R mod you should ask him yourself.

Actually this plane is not completed (I already added LOD, lamps on wings and ability to change painjobs), but I screwed up normals (coz I import DFF) and airplane doors look weird. I asked Dimazzz for plane update, so let's wait...

You have a topic here at gtaforums for your Air Traffic Mod. Last I checked, it was a SCM-based mod - right? So if you have converted it to a working CLEO script, why wouldn't you just post it in your topic and link us to it? Strange.

 

Already told ya, I'm not sitting through 10-15 minutes of downloading when your actual mod is not that large. (I am downloading something else and have been for the past 2 hours now.)

Hi,

 

 

 

I've been working on the blades, everything would have been good if I hadn't had a problem with skinning, I got to solve this thing out.

 

 

Spark would be great for installing v4 with a .bat to copy (spark, main.scm, script.img, readme...), "inject" with spark (rename old *.txd, *.dff -for recover- and import new ones), and delete (spark, maybe the .bat itself). I don't know if it's really working but could be nice.

 

 

 

 

EDIT :

 

 

1. Install :

 

    - Back-up your old files.

 

    - Choose your program that uses the syntax with you work and you open the folder that has the name of it.

    ****************HERE you have to choose beteween Sanny Builder or Mission Builder****************

 

    - Copy main.scm and script.img in DATA\SCRIPT folder of GTA San Andreas installation folder.

 

    - Copy sascm.ini in Sanny Builder folder\DATA.

 

    - Copy leveldes.ipl in DATA\MAP\LEVELDES.

 

    - Copy american.gxt or italian.gxt in TEXT folder.

 

    - Copy dyn_keycard.txd in MODELS\GTA3.IMG folder.

 

    - Copy timecyc.dat in DATA folder.

 

    - Don't worry/care about the other files or read Modder notes at bottom.

 

    - Start a new game.

 

    - Have fun!

 

There both main.scm compiler, there mission coding tools, you know coding, the thing we talk around here. Obviously you don't do coding, so you don't have to choose between them, just pick the first one and have fun.

 

But once you have played you can have fun with us coding, maybe with Sanny Builder and all you need to know is there and there.

Did you peek at my WISHLIST in my signature? Included are slightly altered images for the blades and helmet. Not sure if that'd help... I appreciate the effort nonetheless. I can't open .max files, just .gmax files - not that I can export properly anyway. sigh.gif

 

I was considering an actual EXE installation for B2R 4.0. Just a simple package that makes no changes to the registry (therefore no uninstallation needed) but instead installs by replacing the related SA files. Not sure yet how it'll roll so more ideas are welcome.

Hey guys, it would be awesome if someone found out how to change the speeds of the cars on SA. They go WAY too fast on the highways it's really annoying... I'm guessing changing this will require more then SCM editing, though I could be wrong.

Any thoughts?

For the blades still a no go, I restarted from begining, done the skinning right, but now Kam's script is craoing out an error... There is a file I don't think it works much.

The dff doesn't want to be upload (probably to f*cked...

I might switch to Gmax but not now. Next try I'll try something complete different wich might be "more dirty" but should really work because it's simple. I should have try that on the first place.

 

 

Maybe try to see if you can export something that work out of this...

 

 

 

An exe would be even better, I just wanted to tell you about spark because it can import dff and txd into img with a command line, which would be perfect for the install. Yes, no changes to registory, but easy uninstall could be cool to have the game back to original.

I know it's been done. I use to have a mod like this, but I'm unable to find it. But this mod was only a modified .dat (like popcycle.dat) files to reduce their cruising speed. I'm sorry I'm unable to find what you're looking for, the closest thing I have is here. I don't understand neither, just download.

Yes sorry, the readme is missing this line :

 

- Copy gta.dat in data folder (of the game)

 

OR DO THIS

 

Add this line "IPL DATA\MAPS\leveldes\leveldes.IPL" in "# level design" section in gta.dat in data folder.

I use to think it would never happen, but the mod is here still growing slowly in this fertile field of Mission Coding forum.

It goes more and more to a TC, getting ATM there, new texture there and there, new models...

Little B2R started with petrol, now he'll soon don't need petrol anymore he'll be rollerskating rollerblading.

Sorry to ask, but i cant figure out where to put the scipt for the fuel in the main.scm file to make it work.

Im using GTA Snow Andreas and want to make this work with the fuel mod.

.......The nastiest flu kicked my a$$ for nearly 2 weeks. I also had to repair my computer - disassemble it, fixy-fix and clean it out - then about 36 hrs of testing. I *think* I have fixed it. We'll see, this is the first time I've been able to get online since. sigh.gif

 

By the way, ROLLERBLADING IS NOT ROLLERSKATING, they are 2 VERY DIFFERENT things. Mine is a rollerblading mod.

Yes, a much nicer one too - it's loaded with B2R features. I just have to finish the tachometer.

 

Gtapoptart: Do yourself a favor since you're having the same problems with Snow Andreas - UNINSTALL ALL MODS, DO A FRESH INSTALL OF SA and BEFORE modding it, SEE if your SA will load to begin with. Starting over is wise (less time consuming too) for those who are new at modding. This is how you should be troubleshooting.

so i should just plainly, delete the Rockstar Games Folder (containing GTA SA Folder) completely, then uninstall, and then re-install?

No, doing that would cause problems with the Windows Uninstaller. rolleyes.gif I am suggesting you go to Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > GTA San Andreas and click UNINSTALL. Then and ONLY then, if you have stuff remaining in any GTA SA related folders, delete all... then place your SA DVD in your drive and do a new, full installation. THEN TEST PLAY. If it works fine, then you know the problem is somewhere during the installation of mods and in some cases, the mods themselves. If this is the case, begin adding whatever mods you want, ONE AT A TIME, TEST PLAY and repeat until all desired mods are installed and the game can be played. I suggest this ONLY BECAUSE, 1.) you experience the same loading problems you described in the Snow Andreas topic and 2.) you are new to modding and can not yet troubleshoot in a more specific manner without the help of someone who is extremely patient and willing. Dig?

*Idea*

 

I'm not so sure how familiar you guys are with Spaceeinstiens All In One mod, but within the bundle, there was an Item spawner, it spawned simple objects like the food bowls, candles, stuff like that. After you had spawned it, by pressing the F key, you could pick up items and place them back down.

What I am getting to is maybe an in-game menu that can be accessed well within a owned property, that would list standard items... (like furniture and such) then have a set price, then have CJ be able to buy the selected items and place them around the home. Seems like alot of work... But for example, importing cars is alike to this somewhat, in the aspect that the car spawns after you click the space bar.

Maybe that set of magazines on the table in CJ's moms house could be like an catalog, to buy upgrades. I don't know bout you guys, but I get damn bored of going into safe houses and five of them are exactly the same as another five, kinda takes the atmosphere away ya know?

Not necessarily whatsthat.gif , also consider the idea that maybe only single existing interiors would be used, hell you could even use the garage in SF with opened interiors. Now back to the copied interiors. There is a set number of Interior limits in the game right? Well lets say you take some of the more Unfavorable hidden interiors , created a copy of a clean house, instead of using the same instance of the regular one, you would have exact copies instead of instances.

Though thats a lot of map coding though none the less it can be overwritten, the real work, would be removing the strings that are attached to the own able interiors and replacing them with the hidden interior copy.

About the above ^ this has actually been done on accident, I was playing a modified SCM that I got from a friend who was messing with the Way points for interiors , instead of it working , they ended up being in the oddest places, and ontop of that, entering one, would result in exiting a different building somewhere else.

Deathdime, months ago, I started working on something similar. By the looks of it, SA might've originally had furniture purchases of some kind... there appear to be residual entries in some .dat files... same for jewelry gifts and so on.

 

A big aspect of this to consider is potential limits to loading textures on-the-fly - particularly with regard to buildings etc. Working with single objects is very easy but dynamically upgrading an entire interior... all at once or piece by piece, sounds tricky to me... so many things to consider including how many objects can be saved/loaded at any point during gameplay.

 

I too, sit in agreement with you about the desire for custom homes, interior or exterior elements regardless. But even changing wallpaper on-the-fly... something as simple as that... I will have to look into it.

 

Finally, for integrating additional and unused interiors, that I have done... and am almost finished with it. But to utilize them for safehouses... gave me some serious headaches in the past. When I finally get my Resort Area map mod working as it should for the Gentleman's club and safehouse atop Mt. Chiliad, THEN and only then will I consider going the extra mile to incorporate such things into B2R.

 

The reason you see so few willing to venture this direction is because map modding opens the door to exactly what you want, without these headaches. Dropping in pre-made files appeals to the majority - as does creating one's own structures etc. Texture modding is even easier for customizing your homes.

 

I would like to point something out here - this damned list of limitations we are screwed with for the time being:
