Burglary: best houses

Hey guys i was wondering something, in the beginning, where is the best place to burglarise? Someone said the mansions in vinewood but it looks like its just a factory and a temple in vinewood and a mansion a bit north of it but its not technically vinewood. Wheres the best place smile.gif

Also, jsut to clarify, the 'better' places give you more cash per object right?

And lastly, someones mentioned about getting $10,000 in the burglary missions as if it were something to 'complete'. They said after a few days you can get the $10,000 and i was wondering if theres a rewards for getting $10k in robberies, thanks guys smile.gif

The best place to do the Burglary Missions are the houses in Grove Street. Because it's close and will save time.

Yes, you need $10,000 to complete the mission. It takes about 2 or 3 separate days to do this. You get $3,000 cash reward.

To do this quickly, get a 9mm Silencer, shoot the owners in the head so you can run and get the objects faster. If there are no more objects, go to the next house and to the same thing.

You want to find a street with lots of houses in a row, either Grove Street or something similiar.

By the way don't bother creeping around in each house, just sprint to each item and sprint out. It doesn't matter if they hear you as long as the police bar doesn't fill up.

I found the Mulholland area to be the best. I can't believe people actually rob their own hood, much less recommend it to others. confused.gif

To clear one thing up, the money you make does not depend on where you rob or what you steal, but how many you steal, due to the game's formula using the number of objects you steal to calculate their worth. It doesn't matter if you steal a TV or a fax machine, you'll get the same ammount of money from them.

Here's my strategy:

1. Grab the boxville from near Ganton, and head to the lockup.

2. Next to the lockup, there is a dead end street full of houses. Find two houses that are empty and on exact opposite sides of the street (usually the 2 on the end). Then park the boxville between them (middle of the street, preferably facing the lockup) so that if you were to run from one door to another, you would run at behind the boxville.

3. Run into one house, grab the TV, or anything else that can be stolen, then run back out the door. Yes, run. This is because it's easy to run in, grab something, and run out before the owner(s) call the cops.

4. Run towards the house on the other side of the street and drop the stolen item off along the way. Everytime you enter a new house, houses that you already stole from will be "restocked". So you could just run back and forth between the same two houses all night and steal their TVs over and over if you wanted to (which I normally do).

5. Repeat 3 and 4 until morning comes.

6. Then just take your goods to the lockup. DO NOT do this until morning comes. If you take your goods to the lockup half way through the night, then go back and steal some more, you will only make half as much. Because of the game's formula, you will make the most ammount by stealing as much as you possibly can before going to the lockup.

This is the formula that is run everytime you go to the lockup:

M=20*(N^2)

M is the ammount of money you earn and N is the number of stolen items you take the lockup.

So lets say you steal 10 items then go to the lockup, then go back and steal 10 more in the same night, thus 20 total. Each time you go to the lockup, you will earn $2000 each, thus $4000 total.

However, if you steal 20 then go to the lockup, you will earn $8000.

And using this method you can steal tons before morning.

Highest I've gotten in one run is about $62,000. It's a great way to make money early in the game.

geez, what a waste of time for such little payoff...might as well kill a drug dealer or two.

Nothing beats the car exporting mission....$30,000+ a pop for some of those cars cool.gif

No kidding...what was it, 80,000 for the infernus or something like that? Speaking of, maybe I should go back and finish the last ten export cars...

You will also get Infinite Sprint, which definitely makes it worth it.

No, if you complete the Paramedic Missions in GTAIII and Vice City, you'll get infinite sprint. In San Andreas you get maximum health (150) instead.

This is true, even Mxyzptlk proved it himself in a topic a long time ago and well, you know him, he's probably always right.

Also, I don't know why they did this, but as long as you're not in the house or the truck when the time runs out, you get an extra few minutes to drive to the lock-up.

What "mission"?? Can you keep robbing people after you reach 10,000?

Yeah...I used the "haul ass in and grab a tv, haul ass out, move to next house, then repeat" method once and netted roughly 20,000 in a single burglary mission. Though it sucks because the cool clothes stores weren't open yet...

Aww, the fun part is going up to the mansions on the hills and robbing those rich bastards of all their goods; then killing them devil.giframpage_ani.gifdie.gif

  • 3 weeks later...

If you kill the owners, are they gone forever?

And is it necessary for 100%?

I did robery missions ESPECIALLY for triathlons and my sprint ended while riding bike. That's a scripted thing so you can't use infinite sprint there or what? blink.gifnervous.gif

Going fast on a bike uses up stamina, not sprint. The sprint key only works when running/swimming.

At what point do you get infinite sprint? I got $12,000 or so robbing houses in Los Santos and I didn't have infinite sprint. Do you have to get $10,000 in each of the three cities first?

I think the best places to rob are those apartments in Playa Del Seville. Just back the truck into that gap in the wall next to the sidewalk, then rob the two apartments next to eachother over and over. When the sun comes up, the lockup is right around the corner. I went through Richman and Mullholland but I could never find a house with the yellow marker. Found some houses in Temple to rob.

No, paramedic missions give you 150% heath, and robbing good worth 10.000 give you infinite sprint.
