A mistake by R*?

I posted this before in SanAn general discussion, but it was brought to my attention that it might be more appropriate in this forum, so I'm posting it here:

I'm wondering if anyone else noticed this or if anyone knows a reason for this. In GTA: LCS, reports say that Luigi's club is owned by "J.D. O'Toole" and called "Paulie's Revue Pad." Anyways, LCS is set in 1997 I believe. In "the introduction" movie for San Andreas, which takes place in 1992 I think, CJ is seen outside of Sex Club Seven, Luigi's club. So either R* made a mistake or Luigi had the club in 1992, lost it before 1997, then got it back again before 2001. Good find, eh? smile.gif

Certainly a good find man. But surely R* wouldn't make a mistake like that. Well we'll see if they explain it or not. In the mean time you should get hold of them, wouldn't it be funny if you were the person who set back LCS a few months so they could change the story line lol.

I just did the San Andreas mission to be sure, but CJ went to St Mark's Bistro, not Sex Club Seven/Luigi's club. In the scene where it's snowing before he arrives at the Bistro, you can't see the Sex Club Seven/Luigi's club locations and if you've played GTA3 you know that it's a little distance away from St Mark's Bistro, and it's certainly not seeing distance.

Edit: I captured a video to show that it does not Show Luigi's Club, even if it is/isn't modelled in but not visable during normal San Andreas gameplay. Requires XviD codec.

I would think that the reason behind the problem is that there were no edits made to Liberty City in the intro movie, and someone decided to change the club for LCS.. if there's something in the plot, fine, but I'd wager that R* will be unhappy with their continuity department, as it's a bit of stretch to assume that 9 years on, Luigi would have the same signs for the club if it had changed hands in the interim.

Very good find, Cuse. I am surprised they didn't catch it. I wonder what they will do to cover it up.

We're talking about the movie "The Introduction", that comes with San Andreas' soundtrack. It shows a scene where CJ is carjacking in front of Sex Club 7 in Liberty City.

Maybe there's a mission in LCS where you have to take back the club to Luigi and kill J.D. O'Toole or something like that

I'm convinced that what you said is what they will do....Or in one of the mission strands you work for luigi to get his club back and just scare toole outta town. but yeah your idea is probably what they will do.

Is there some way someone could upload 'The Introduction' to the internet? I would love to see it, but no stores within 200km of my town sell the SA soundtrack, so I have no way of watching it.

If it is already on the 'net, could someone put the link to it?

So you want someone to post piracy on a public forum? Riiight. Why don't I go ahead and give you a link to the PSP Developer Kit files while we're here?

Sorry, that kind of stuff is not allowed here. If you want the video buy the soundtrack or "find" it yourself.

Righty righty, no need to flame me... suicidal.gif forget it then.

Oh, and spas, I don't need the PSP Developer Kit files, as (until LCS is out), I have no interest in PSP, files or otherwise.

Also, it isn't piracy unless you

A) Say it is your own work

B) Don't give credit to the original creator

C) Make any kind of profit from it.

@ Freddy50000 - I didn't watch the movie on that site but I can see that it says it's 42 seconds long.

'The Introduction' is about 20 minutes long, so I don't think you can use that 'sample' as evidence of all you can see.

Anyway, PresidentKiller already posted an image from the dvd which clearly has the familiar bunny girls and the name 'Sex Club 7'. [edit: same one Yankees just posted]

Most likely it's just a continuity error and I doubt if Rockstar will do anything about fixing it. They'd have to make it clear in LCS that within a decade the Sex Club 7 changed names and all the signs, then changed them back again. Not a completely unbelievable scenario given the turf wars between gangs, but unlikely. Either that or they'd have to release a new version of The Introduction with the club replaced with Paulie's or another place. I'd like them to change the DVD so my original version will become a collectors item.

R* did this on purpose! I'm completely sure.. using the GTA SA Admin Console, I bring a car to the place where Sex Club 7 is and guess what? IT WAS THERE! So it is probably true which is that Luigi had the club in 1992, lost it sometime before/in 1997, and got it back in 2001!
