Statistically, you can rack up A LOT___TONS of $$$$, betting on him. This is why he RARELY appears. Its kind of an in game cheat. He doesn't always win, but is statistically better than most Horseys on the ps2! (i have reached $208 million at the ITB alone! Not even past Badlands yet) My largest win was $90Million on "Biffen's Bridge" I went all out on the bet, because he is THAT big a winner~! Good horsey! Now I don't have to kill you. MY BIGGEST REGRET---Rx didn't put NEARLY enough stuff in the game to actually spend that kind of money!! It doesn't matter what the name of the horse is. There are only two given elements: The amount of money that you have + the stake you are betting at. For example, you have 10$ and you bet at stake 12/1, you will win 120$ Why ? Because the stakes tells you that for every dollar you've put in, you'll get back 12 dollar (if you win). Make sure its someone's turf before seeing any dealer appear. They dont exist in neutral areas. They're put in your neighboorhoods (+ purple and yellow areas too) to give you the excuse of wacking 'em to make sure your guys dont get high in order to kill them legally so to speak. if you do it right next to a cop, he'll wanna arrest you ta ta PS : Satanonfire : GTA3 rulez ! its my favorite one of the lot. dont know why, but preferred amongst others the atmosphere created in liberty city, that changed drastically with Vice City. Gotto miss the two wheeled vehicules of course, but the banshee and mob sentinel were the best ! And out of the three, GTA3's soundtrack was best. Ppl, dont forget this is just a personal preference, not the start of a debate Så det bare nå, nordman ! Truth13 Posted November 18, 2005 Share Posted November 18, 2005 A really great way to make money is roulette. just save outside the Four Dragons, and choose one number at the $1,000,000 table (you need 100% gambling skill, which is easily achieved after about 15 minutes of maximum gambling at lower tables). Bet 1,000,000 dollars on this number (i chose 21 because it is my lucky #), and if you lose, simply reload and bet on the same # again. If you win, you will get 35:1 odds, otherwise known as $35,000,000. winning isn't all that uncommon, so this is a great way to make a lot of cash. As for how to USE your cash, the money you possess goes toward your criminal rating, with 1 point for every $5,000. The highest known criminal rationg is King of San Andreas -- 1,000,000 points. All you are doing when you cheat is detracting from the overall gaming experience in San Andreas -- you are essentially skipping parts of the game when you get money, health, skill, etc. without doing anything. Cheating is like giving yourself training wheels. It is a lot more fun and rewarding to figure out creative ways to do things (like making money) quickly and efficiently, by exploring the game for secrets and/or glitches. Though it will always take a couple minutes to enter a 9,999,000 wager, you can greatly increase your chances of winning by collecting all of the Horseshoes is Las Venturas. Instead of binding "Sprint"(it's the same button you use to confirm the 10.000 bet placement) to "Shift", bind it to "Mouse wheel down/up", now just scroll up, its A LOT faster like this. And if you're lucky and have a mouse which has a "Scroll Down button", you can just hold that for EVEN faster placing your bets. Another way to make money is putting 10% of your money on the 10/1, 11/1 or 12/1 horse at Inside Track Betting. By doing this you have 10 chances to play (with a 20% probability of winning). If you want to double your money put whatever amount on the $1 slot on the Wheel of Fortune. lolo603 Posted February 2, 2006 Share Posted February 2, 2006 (edited) the gambling system in SA is flawed. just abuse the inside track betting until u got bored. my way is to gamble 20% of my $$ on the worst horse. if u couldn't win within 5 tries (unlikely), reload the game and gamble again. however i don't recommend this method since it really spoiled the fun. i use the below method to max out my money to 999,999,999: (it's better if u have archieve 100% before doing this) 1st max out CJ's fat, then get in a Rhino and go on a Vigilante Mission marathon. don't be discourage by the small amount of reward at the beginning since the rewards will dramatically increase later on. here's a reward list: lvl 100 - $500,000 lvl 200 - $2,000,000 lvl 250 - $3,000,000 lvl 300 - $4,500,000 lvl 400 - $8,000,000 by the time u get to lvl 392 or 393, your money will be maxed out for sure even if u start off with -$1,000,000. it will take about 7 to 8 hours to complete the whole 400 lvls. so make sure u'll have the whole day to spend before starting doing it. eat 10 fatty meals every 50 levels or so (u have 60 seconds to go back to the Rhino before failing the mission and it only take 30 seconds to eat 10 meals). time is never critical since by the time u finish lvl 400 u'll have 200 minutes left on the timer. (the timer cannot display the correct value if u go over 100 minutes, the "display" of the timer will be reset back to 0, but the actual time left is still counted so don't panic. this is extremely fun to do in SA (well at least it's ALOT more fun than doing it in VC) since u'll be travelling ALL OVER SA. i started of in LS, then slowly moved to Red County, then to Bone County, to LV, then back to Red County, LS, Badlands areas, SF, etc... it's just fun. this gives me a feeling that i actually "earned" the money. to me, making money from gambling and cheating are the same thing. Ray1 Posted February 3, 2006 Share Posted February 3, 2006 You know guys, gambling is the most efficient way to earn LARGE sums of cash AFTER the story missions, NOT in the begining like this guy's asking. Think about it. Yeh, in the very begining, you NEED to do a few missions before you start to DO anything else. Opening up all the different kinds of stores is nice. What ever you do, DON'T gamble. Just kill drug dealers; each one drops $2000 AND a 9mm. EVERY time. Plus your using the gun and increasing it's skill. You shouldn't ever really *need* money through the game. Plenty of cars spawn around CJ's house; I'm sure you've found those. BTW, That SAM map is incredible. You can find anything and everything in the game with it. With some wheels and all the cash and ammo from the dealers, you only need one other thing: Armor. if you don't know where it is, here's some: in the very large, concrete flood control ditch behind CJs hood, UNDER the overpasses are some goodies. Armor is below the highway overpass and a miniuzi under the other one. If your still in the first city, you need to work on the story missions, pretty much, IMO. They introduce you to all the kewel stuff in the game, and show you how to use them. Later on, after the end of the story, is when you want to gamble. You'll have enough money to make gambling worth your while. Just kill dealers for cash.(and free ammo) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
