I can't stand trying to do it over and over, I just can't seem to snipe em all before 8-Ball gets "iced", and I'm about to scream. Chunky Lee Chong Posted June 25, 2005 Share Posted June 25, 2005 Where are you sniping them from? Are you standing on top of the large warehouse in front of the boat? If not, you should stand here so you can see all the guys correctly. Once you get on the building, snipe the two guys that are standing on the dock. Then, move up the boat and shoot everybody near the ramp. Move right and shoot all the guys there and then move left and shoot all the guys standing around there. Do try to shoot the red barrels to take out more guys. And if you need to slow things down, I suggest you collect the adrenaline pill that's located between some trailers beyond the police bribe. The_Real_Deal Posted June 25, 2005 Share Posted June 25, 2005 It also helps to scope the vacinity to get an idea of where the Cartel guys are on the ship, and how many there are. Snipe from the top of the warehouse roof, as mentioned, take out the guys on the ground first, then work your way from the left of the boat to the right - as 8-Ball will be coming in from the left, so you want to take care of that end first. JustinGunnar Posted June 29, 2005 Share Posted June 29, 2005 (edited) I run and get the adernaline pill first then come back into position at the top of the stairs and shot them from the bottom to the top in order as they come then no one has a chance to shoot 8 ball because I've got them all. The only advice I can give is just take the pill, have your rifle fully extended, don't loose focus and don't stop shooting. Be very quick. It may take you a few tries to get the hang of it. This was one of my favoritest missions by they way. Nothing brings me more GTA glee than when I get a chance to sniper off people! You can get all 100 packages while in your convict garb without entering a single cheat. This mission is never challenging. Climb up to the apex of the nearby rooftop. Zoom in (and stay zoomed in!) with the sniper, aiming for the guy at the bottom on the right. Once the guy on the left is done moving to his behind-the-Cruiser position, snipe him. Look up the ramp, to the top on the left and snipe him. Then just pan right hitting each Columbian. Then switch to a weapon you can run with, turn around and vault over to the next roof to get HP26 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
bitsandpieces Posted July 1, 2005 Share Posted July 1, 2005 What's the fun in...CHEATING If you do a SEARCH, on a previous post, i explained how i did this mission, using the 2 nearby trucks, to box Lance in, therefore, allowing me more time, to kill the Colombians. Once Lance is boxed in, snipe the 2 Colombians at the bottom of the ramp, then, as you choose the granades, run towards the ramp and as you walk upwards, throw granades at the top center of ramp, then to the left and then to the right, walk up more and throw more granades to the right and use Uzi with autoaim, to ....finish them off, just as Lance arrives at the ship!! Milan Posted July 4, 2005 Share Posted July 4, 2005 What you do is, when you drop off 8-ball by the ship, you go around, right by the enterance, and turn towards the trailers, there you should see a pill, DO NOT GET INTO YOUR CAR AGAIN AS THE PILL FADES AWAY. (Even without a car, it will last you the whole mission, and then some. Then you turn down, and climb up those stairs, you're at the house thing now, snipe all of the Colombians, shoot some of the barrels if you want, to kill some of them. I myself had difficulties with Bomb Da Base the first time I tried it. If you're not here to help her out, then don't bother posting. If you're up for cheating, what I used to do was take out an M-16, run in ahead of 8-Ball, and start shooting at everyone. Find as much cover as you can so as not to get shot up too much. You don't need to get off the boat when 8-Ball goes to plant the explsoives, you can just stand there, and once the final cutscene is over, you will be standing where the boat ramp used to be. If you're NOT up for cheating, then do it the right way. Take out the sniper rifle, run up the stairs of the building to the right of the ship, and start popping heads. This will probably take several tries, because you'll have to remember where every Cartel is. Start with the two guarding the ramp, move on to the guys hovering around the top of it, and gradually work your way to the right. Keep scanning the boat deck for anyone you could have missed. If you've done either of these methods right, you should have a sunk boat, a new Cartel Cruiser to drive home in, and a lot of money on your hands for finishing the mission. Demarest Posted July 4, 2005 Share Posted July 4, 2005 Agreed. I consider myself THE GTA3 master and not 2 weeks ago, 8 Ball was killed. Why? I overlooked a Cartel and his AK fared well against the unarmed bomber. Happens even to the best of us. And while I think I know an easy way to pass this, I DEFINITELY understand why so many people have problems with it. Think of it this way: It is THE most asked about mission in the game.
