OnlyDanceForPants Posted June 25, 2005 Share Posted June 25, 2005 (edited) hey there everyone - i'm sure we're all familiar with R*'s Classics page where they have made GTA and GTA2 available for free download... now despite the fact that GTA3 is VERY inexpensive for PC right now, do you think that Rockstar would release it as a classic on their website? or continue to make money off of it in the stores... I figured that since SA came out on PC and XBox, they would move onto the next chapter in classics... or who knows, maybe they are going to release some other game... or even GTA: London 1969... any thoughts? peace! PS - i just realized that you may see this as trying to illegally download it, or Warez it... but its not!! lol.... i'm talking about when our good (and very generous) pals at R* make is legitimately available for our downloading pleasure... just wanted to get that legal issue out of the way before any bad vibes were spread... I was upset to find that I couldn't also get the London 60's games as a free download. They offer the '61 but say you need the '69 disc in to play it. As I'm a greedy bastard - this upset me. I doubt if they'll realease GTA3 as a free download for a few years yet. I think people are still happy to pay for it, so why would they. I suppose it depends on how advanced the next GTA is. mupet0000 Posted July 27, 2005 Share Posted July 27, 2005 they only put some old gta 1 and gta 2 for download becuase you can get them in shops now for around £1, thats how much i got gta 1, 2, london in one for pc. I think on the classic ones they remove radio stations. + gta 1 & 2 were avaliable for download on freeloader.com about 2 yrs before out on rockstars site. I..... well im not going to mention where i got it from because its not allowed but i got it for free. But anyway i dont think that R* will release it for download because of the content as in how big the game is. the first gtas were just flat top downt 2d games but gta 3 is this immense giant 3d game.
