In the Ps2 version and Xbox for that matter,THERE IS NO SKATEBORED unfortunally, if you had searched you would have seen that there was code for it but, they did not put it in.In the PC version of GTASA im sure there is a mod or will be a mod for the skatebored.Either way,THERE was NO skatebored put there by R* exept the coding of such..Which was decided not to be put into the game,For reasons we do not know. The model and texture is there, but there's none of the needed code/animations to be able to ride it. Of course, it's extremely easy to make it a weapon. I mean, there are several quality skateboarding games already, like Tony Hawks Pro Skater and such, why even bother with skateboarding in san andreas? I'm not trying to be rude or anything, I just find it odd that anyone would actually want skateboarding in a game like SA, entirely pointless. chris82 Posted June 26, 2005 Share Posted June 26, 2005 Well, what makes the most sense is to replace one of the push bikes because they don't have any engine sounds and are man-powered. I like the BMX and mountain bike the best, so I wanted to replace the lowrider. I put one in my garage. I then opened up gta3.img and found bike.dff and bike.txd. I opened the .dff up in Zmodeler to make sure it was the one I wanted. It was so I extracted skateboard.dff and skateboard.txd and renamed them to bike.dff and bike.txd. I replaced the files in gta3.img with the sakteboard ones I renamed, started up the game, opened the garage...and the game froze. I don't know why. If I ever get the model and txd files in game, I would then edit the handling so you rode is standing up, and edit the col files, but it just doesn't want to be ingame for some reason. My point is that the same can be said for bike riding, and that is already in the game, and not many people see that as pointless. Skateboarding would be another cool new way of getting around. And there is a skatepark in Los Santos. Personally I think it would be fun. I remember playing older tony hawk games at friends' houses and wishing that I could just jump off the board and beat up random peds.
