Big Pointy Building

I did a BASEjump from the Big Pointy Building in San Fierro and landed just in front of the building. I went back up to the top and of course no parachute had spawned yet, so I jumped from the top. CJ fell all the way down and... didn't die instantly, just took a health hit. I did this three times and still didn't die (I had armor on, too). I'm sure this doesn't work on the building in Los Santos (will have to try it to be certain).

 

A bug or supposed to happen?

sounds like a bug, or its just something they did for that building, cause u die from falling like 15 meters so i cant imagine surviving a jump from 200+

This has happened to me many times, including just falling out of the sky. When CJ hits the floor, he has a sliver of life left.

I believe you lose a certain amount of health depending on what speed you hit the ground. So jumping from anywhere higher than 40ft or so shouldn't kill you with a full bar of health.

i think the starter is talking about something different...same thing happened to me.. tried jumping from all 4 sides of the building w/o a parachute, and he would hit the triangular arches near the bottom of the building and not the ground. he would survive with alot of health. there was no way i could get him to hit the pavement, every jump he would hit those triangular supports near the bottom of the building

I once had a insane moment, I was just flying my Hydra, bailed out, and the Hydra fell on the Los Santos pier. That's cool enough you would say, but I didn't pull the chute and just fell ontop of the destroyed Hydra on the pier and NO health was lost

i found out about this a while ago; it seems to me that if you pop your 'chute, and then release, you'll survive with a sliver of life left if you press the circle button. pressing once seems to do the trick, but i do it repeatedly just to be sure.
