danr2k4
my gta sa pc is crashing the situ is as follows: the game launches fine and runs for a varying amount of time. then for an undisclosed reason, the screen goes into sleep mode (sugesting a lack of input from the graphics card) and all i can hear is the game sound being played really slowly and sort of, well, weirdly. the only way to solve it is to reboot pc. i hav: windows xp sp2 directx 9c msi k8n sli platinum edition 1x geforce 6600gt 2gigs of ddr 400 ram, msi certified i would try going back to directx 9b, but i dont no how - where do u download the uninstalling app for directx and where do u get the old version (9b). sorry if this is a boring question, but thanks in advance. cheers dan
danr2k4
problem solved. sorry about my lazyness - it turns out that i had the same problem as sum1 else. iv got an msi k8n and it has onboard soundblaster 24-bit live. i read on the forum that a guy having a similar prob to me, with the same sound card, tried an old lad (sound card), and it worked i did the same and hey presto!
