Sky Hunter
Sorry for posting too much topics, simply its hard to figure out how to do it. Im not new to GTA series but SA missions i found tricky since Desert... Problem is that i cant get to plane. Im doing everything ok, passing between 2 pickups and shooters, holding a little right of plane to avoid barrels and other stuff, but when im about 3/4 of runway the plane already taking off! Maybe im doing something wrong?
Knightmare
Try leaning forward to get more speed. Otherwise, try turning the frame limiter on/off in Options. Thanks -shaDow
Officer Pulaski
youre probably doing what i did in this mission you stop a little to avoid something and need to swerve out of the way and let go of the acceleration and dont touch the brake and dont stay to the side of the plane try to stay around near the middle, swerve away from barrels, but dont overdo it
Sky Hunter
Well my FPS limiter is Off, and im pressing acesseleration constantly...
Canoxa
Keep on the left of the pane, never touch the red square nor R1, and lean your stcik a bit forward, not much, to get more speed. When you don't see any barrels, hop in!

topcatdk
This mission (along with flying certain types of planes) are the only times in the game when I wish hadn't sold the PS2 version and bought the PC one. Anyway the trick it to lean forwards on the bike, on the PS2 you could do that by slightly tilting a stick, however as the PC version remaps to the cursor keys you can't do that (If you hold the key CJ stands up and slows everything right down), but what worked for me was to tap the UP key (no not W, but the cursor Up key) while holding W to accelerate, it takes some experiments before you get it right so I recomend you grab a bike outside a mission and practice a good start. Sky Hunter
Well my keys are set: Arrow Up - Acceseleration Arrow Down - Brake Space - Handbrake Arrow right-left - Right/Left Numpad 7 - lean backwards Numpad 9 - lean forward
Night-Stalker
When the cutscene ends, don't turn left untill you gain speed (it's easier to do so by driving on the asphalt) THEN turn left and drive on the ramp. This way you'll accellerate faster and avoid the feds and those barrels.
HolyCrow
Got the same problem as Sky Hunter. But none of the posted methods seem to work. In fact they even turn out worse. I'm already reaching the plane but then it suddenly "warps" away from me und takes off. Isn't there a way to mod the PCJ to get faster than normal? Or making the Andromada slower? Sky Hunter
Well tip with leaning forward seem to work on PC also. Jusr rapidly tap the lean forward key. But i seem to either crash into one of barrels or wait too much and plane already taking off. Speed is ok now, only problem is techincs.... pixelrage
avoid the 1st set of barrels by staying to the right, then immediately move into the center....swerve around the next set (this is the tough part), and you're in.
Chunky Lee Chong
What I did was stay directly to the right until I was actually able to drive onto the ramp, and then I did. Then again, I used the PS2 and was able to actually lean CJ onto the bike, but tapping the keyboard does sound like a good idea, just make sure you know how fast to tap it so you get the perfect lean and speed. sj89scoots
What I did was change the sceen resolution to a lower setting and then I could even go in front of the plane. Hope that helps.
Sky Hunter
wtf, im almost catching plane but when im getting too close to him hes like jumping a few meter forward!!!! Like small speed boosters!!
ThetheoryX
Well if you know how to you could 'modify' the handling for the pcj600. If you don`t know how to do it, goto your GTA San Andreas directory on your pc ( normally this is located under C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto San Andreas ), and then go into your data directory and click on the handling.cfg file. After that just look for 'BIKE', and modify the speed, or the drag of the bike. Sorry if thats not too descriptive. Thing is my little brother did that on his pc, to beat this mission. Its not that hard to do. But like everyone else here, I just kept at it til` I got on the plane. Just stay to the right, and when the last set of barrels come out of the plane, get over into the middle, and just try your hardest to get into the back of the plane. And by the way. When you do get onto the plane, do not, I repeat do not use weapons. Its hand to hand combat the whole time... I won`t tell you the reason why you can`t use weapons, don`t want to spoil the game for you...
Sky Hunter
Well, i passed it, turned resolution to 800x600 to eliminate probability of 'speed lag'. Passed from 2nd try. Thanks all
Castaway
I tried this one a few times, until I thought that the game probably expects me to approach the hatch directly from behind, where the barrels are rolling out. Using this (correct) approach, I managed to get to the plane on the first try. No leaning forward or anything, I didn't even realise it affects speed. Fortunately I didn't have a gun on me when confronted by the baddies on the plane.

Using gun is dangerous there, you can hit the cargo accidently....better yet use close-on-approach
yk322
If you dont mind cheating you could do slowergameplay and dessert storm.that should work
Sky Hunter
If you dont mind cheating you could do slowergameplay and dessert storm.that should work Well, like i said i passed it, had to lower settings a bit so game will give me max FPS performance so i wont suffer from minor 'speed lags' when plane 'jumps' slightly ahead.......doesnt make troubles in regular gameplay, but like i said when every meter counts...it can make difference...
