I heard that the PS2 version featured airplane accidents [airplanes crashing] and U.F.O`s... well,i`m already in las venturas and i heavnt seen a single airplane accident: whenever i see an airplane,it disappears in 2 seconds [the airplanes draw distance is very short] also,i heavnt seen any U.F.O well?where are they exacly? Scousefeej Posted June 24, 2005 Share Posted June 24, 2005 I was driving on a dirt bike in the desert near the damn, when i lost control and went over the edge and into the water, as i came to the surface a plane came crashing into the water literally inch's away, nice splash and explosion too, was so unexpected, first thing i did was look above me to see if something shot it down. GodGell Posted June 24, 2005 Share Posted June 24, 2005 i saw some planecrashes, but on the top of mt chiliad there definietly isn't "a crash a minute", i went up to the very peak of it and waited for 6 ingame hours (6 minutes) and all the planes were just flying ahead and not crashing. Chiliad to take a picture of the guy's body). I had just loaded a game and started running towards the road,when I heard a series of gigantic explosions, it scared the crap out of me becuase my speakers were on full blast ..so I turned around and saw a plane on the road. Seconds later, I started to hear people scream, and then out of nowhere (i.e. behind me: draw distance on max.), a plane crashed on the road right next to me. tombcatz Posted June 24, 2005 Author Share Posted June 24, 2005 well,i did as you guys said: i took an airplane and flew towards mount chilliad it was completely foggy and i didnt see anything,then-5 meters away from me i noticed the mountain i had to jump off the plane luckily i survived,and went to the top of the mountain i waited there for whole 10 minutes [10 ingame hours] ,but i didn`t see any airplane crashing...i only saw 2 planes flying above me... thats ironic-i went to mount chilliad to see airplanes crashing,and i crashed my own airplane. Kremit Posted June 25, 2005 Share Posted June 25, 2005 The only UFO that was ever in the game are 1) Lil Probe Inn just southwest of Area 69, or 2) The UFO they speak about on the radio. The "UFO"'s are either 1) hi-altitude planes (with no models, just dummy lights) flying or 2) Photo Opportunities in San Fierro. Dummy lights are a type of light source used in, on and/or for working with 3d models. Photo ops still exist and I tweak my shamal to fly as fast as the "UFO" Dummy lights, but I could either not get high enough, or just saw no model at all when I paced it (might have been too far away). I had an accident that wrecked my car and , since I was over the badlands, I had to make my way on foot. I enjoyed the walk because I ended up by that lagoon with brown water for the first time and thought it was cool. Then I heard that series of loud explosions behind me and freaked out beacuse I didn't know what the hell was that: Man, I turn my back and just see the wreakage of a Rustler in flames sliding over the terrain and coming straight to me. Similar incident happened to me, but it was on the Vinewood hill, lost a lot of health too as it exploded straight away. Then I pushed it down the hill. I played so much GTA:SA on the PS2 and only seen maybe 4. I have seen 2 so far on PC version. At the very top of Chiliad and at the Ammunation in Downtown LS.
