Zach
I've successfully created a SuperCar thread (using Arvin's sample code as a guide) and also a SuperCJ thread. Both work great, and it was fun running around in essentially God mode and driving around in a heavy car. *says 'goodbye" to Lith Joe--I don't need your Solid Granet car cheat anymore! * The thing is that when I reopened my new main.scm file in Barton's mission editor (v.33), my thread names were renamed. First try, I followed the advice of some old VC main.scm editing thread and put my thread immediately before the ";-------------Mission 0---------------" section. If you look in SA's main.scm file, you'll see that this is in between :MOB_GF_546 and :INITIAL_1. Ex.: :MOB_GF_54600BE: text_clear_all0051: return;<I INSERTED MY NEW THREADS HERE>;-------------Mission 0---------------; Originally: Initial 1:INITIAL_103A4: name_thread 'INITIAL'06C8: 0 But after doing that, Barton ended up renaming my two threads to MOB_GF_548 and MOB_GF_549. (Don't ask me why he didn't start at MOB_GF_547. ) I tried again, this time just putting the threads at the end, but they still got renamed. (This time to VALET_2020 and Label36B838.) Is there some trick involved so that Barton is able to store the intended name in the resulting main.scm, or is this just a limitation of the tool that I have to live with? Opius
No, you're supposed to use your original source file each time. I don't know why you're compiling, then decompiling your script. You can just open the TXT file it saves after the first decompile.

Because like I stated in that other thread you responded to a little while ago, if I didn't open the original .scm file, I would get that "Init Script" error when compiling. But cool, I understand now: just don't use the "Recent Files" to open the .txt file. Using the clunky File Open interface is okay though. *thumbs up* Thanks!
