stealth-master Posted June 24, 2005 Share Posted June 24, 2005 While the links between characters in San Andreas and Vice City are pretty obvious, as are some of the links between San Andreas and GTA3, I think I discovered some more tonight. Everyone knows, or should know that the Claude in San Andreas is the main character of GTA3. Also, 8 ball from GTA3's name is Carl. Is it a coincidence, or is it really CJ from San Andreas? Many people I've talked to about it don't think it's him, because there was some rivalry between the two of them because of Catalina. Does anyone remember the opening scene for GTA3? It has Claude and his girlfriend robbing a bank, and the girl shooting Claude because she's "ambitious." To be honest, after playing San Andreas, she looks and sounds A LOT like Catalina. If Claude was betrayed by Catalina, then 8 ball, or CJ, wouldn't really have to hate him anymore because he isn't with Catalina anymore. I guess this all could be coincidence, and I'm just full of crap, and maybe someone else has already mentioned this. Please post your comments. Carl Johnson Isn't 8-Ball Catilina is in San Andreas and that is her. No one knows if 8-Ball & CJ had beef or not. But Carl Johnson is from San Andreas, but he was working for Joey Leone in Liberty City. Then his mom died and came home. I believe the reason why he left because his 'other' brother died. GTA3 is almost ten years later than San Andreas you can change very much over ten years. but im not saying they are related somehow. 8 ball have different axcent than CJ. I might be crazy or maybe I need some sleep (in case this is true, which I really doubt), but I don't recall a single moment in GTA3 where 8-Ball says that his name is Carl. There are only two missions that 8-Ball even appears in, the first one and Bomb Da Base Act II so it's got to be one of those. I'm not saying I don't believe you, just I don't ever recall it being said. Gamefaqs has a full script I think, see if you can find the exact spot.
