immessedup17
Well, I was just browsing around the forums, and I got a popup. Last I heard, we weren't supposed to be getting any, not sure if this is the case. Over the last few weeks, I'd say Ive gotten at least one popup a day from this site. Nothing to whine/complain about really, but, I thought I would let you guys know anyways. I took a screenshot of the popup and the page info on it. This wasn't the only type of popup, some advertised for other things. Sorry for the size.
Chunky Lee Chong
I get much more than one pop-up a day, usually like three or four. But, I have pop-under enabled, so it doesn't bother me too much. When they do appear, I just right-click and close. By the way, it's those YOU ARE THE 1 MILLIONTH CUSTOMER pop-ups.
Vin.
Yeah, I get the same thing sometimes, except it's from eBay or Jamster.

Svip
Well. I have never got a pop up on GTAF. I don't know if it has something to do with the skin or something, but AfterFuture is quite relyable. I have AdBlock enabled too, but I didn't know it would block pop-ups...
Daggdave
I have prolly gotten one popup since I have started coming here 3 years ago
uzer
Run Spybot and/or AdAware, I've never gotten a popup from here, ever.
immessedup17
Run Spybot and/or AdAware, I've never gotten a popup from here, ever. I ran Spybot, Ad-Aware Professional SE, and HijackThis.exe. Nothing was found. Also, the page info shows it came from gtaforums.com. If it was from spyware, wouldn't it show that program or 'ad-place' it came from? I also have pop-up blockers, or so I thought. I NEVER get popups anywhere on the internet besides the one-a-day on these forums. Thats why I thought Id make this topic, BECAUSE it was unusual. immessedup17
Yeah, again, not too worried about it, I just made a topic on it because I don't think it is a problem on me end, i.e., I don't think it is spyware or anything. Though, I haven't gotten a pop-up while Im on GTAF at work, but I'm not on GTAF all that often while at work. Either way, tis alright. Just thought I'd bring it up. Marcus, I know I make you pop a tent, no doubt.
Tsuroki
GTAF does have pop-up ads; I'm positive of this. I believe they help pay a (very small) portion of the costs that go into running the network. You can find the actual source page for the ads here. I get eBay ads sometimes, but not often. I don't really mind, though - I know they're there to help pay for the network. GTA3Freak-2001
I get the odd ebay one, nothing annoying really as it does help keep this place running.
papanesta
Sorry to bump the topic. But Firefox has blocked the same pop-up Eric posted about twice tonight.
EmSixTeen
Sorry to bump the topic. But Firefox has blocked the same pop-up Eric posted about twice tonight. If it blocked it, where is the problem? I never get pop-ups, including whilst on here. I use Adblock though, and have a rather extensive block list.. I advise this filterset for Adblock, it blocks everything but also a few wee things I didn't want it to so I just keep my own list, but you can always remove entries to let it show what you wanted to see. And Adblock blocks the pop-ups because it blocks the original /burst.htm page
