I dont know but, i think im the only person with this bug... i dont even know how i found out about it.. anyway the problem is that gta_sa.set (in GTA san andreas user files folder, in My documents) slows a hell lot my game! By the way, i got a machine with: Windows XP home without SP1 n SP2 celereon 2.7 ghz 1.00 gb ram nVidia Geforce2 mx/mx 400, and a have to say that it runs very smoothly, just like vice city, on 800x600x16; but for some very strange reason, after i end the game and try to run it again (once gta_sa.set is created...) the game runs horribly slow... so the solution is to DELETE gta_sa.set before running the game. Guys i wanna know, why does gta_sa.set slows my gameplay, and how do i fix that? ( you know, its kind of annoying to adjust the settings every time i wanna play SA... Knightmare Posted June 23, 2005 Share Posted June 23, 2005 err If you stop deleting it then you won't have to reset your settings, since it's a f*cking settings file! The game runs slow because of your video card. A piece of aluminum foil would make it run faster than that thing. Quit messing with your settings file and buy a newer video card.
