dret
It seems that in foggy conditions the character models all become visable. I changed the settings for the LA weather conditions in timecyc.dat to the FOGGY_SF settings. This makes the charater models at least visable. Maybe this problem can easily be fixed if someone can edit timecyc.dat correctly?
TITO_931
Hi dret, I have the same problem, can you please tell me how did you change the settings for the LA weather conditions in timecyc.dat to the FOGGY_SF settings. Please Help
dret
What I did was copy everything under the line "FOGGY_SF" in timecyc.dat (\GTA San Andreas\data\) and paste it over the settings for EXTRASUNNY_LA, SUNNY_LA, EXTRASUNNY_SMOG_LA, SUNNY_SMOG_LA, and CLOUDY_LA. This makes the weather in Los Santos always foggy, but at least you can see the people. I also copied the foggy settings over EXTRACOLOURS_1 and EXTRACOLOURS_2 at the bottom of timecyc.dat which changes the conditions for inside buildings. Top Dawg
lol @ foggy L.A does it lag more or less ? maybe people who lag to much in the rain can make the weather sunny all the time.

DexX
wtf? do you guys have ANY mods (game modifications) installed at all? This is a very strange bug indeed, if you get that from a stock installation. it would appear as though the textures aren't loading for any pedestrians. Also, post your system specs/video drivers. Selah
Also one thing I noted was, all people who I've seen suffer this problem in the past, have always been users of ATI. I've not seen an nVidia case. Perhaps driver issues with the ATI cards? I've noted simmilar texture problems in the past, with other games and ATI cards. zk523
Hey all, I came across this topic while trying to find an answer to my random crash to desktop issue. I accidently discovered this error you guys are experiencing about 20 minutes ago. Im running a Sony 36" XBR tv as my monitor with a ATI Radeon 9800 AIW. When you run a tv as your monitor, there is a program called Powerstrip that customizes resolutions. I unchecked an option within that program that was labeled "Disable support for driver options" and when I loaded GTA again, all the peds were sky blue just like you guys are describing. All I had to do was recheck the box and it worked again. Dont know if that will help anyone that isnt using a tv for a monitor, but thats my 2 cents. pdub
I forgot that I had disabled certain fog types in my drivers (ati x800). I reenabled the fog types and the ped problem disappeared. Edited August 21, 2005 by pdub
