NSX
Mods only show up when bad things happen on the forum, so if everything is going great they won't show up. I've been a mod for a couple of weeks now on another forum

OCDee
i dont think San Andreas is cool with mods. Rockstar made the game so it would be not nessecary with mods because you can do everything already vice and gta3 needed mods because , well, in vice and gta3 it was not so much Liberty and freedom as in San Andreas Edited June 24, 2005 by Gamingfreak

Andrew
Do remember, there is all the new formats of the DFF other files to crack etc etc. Which takes time, and make DFF exporters for programs to get 3D models out... It all takes time.. so shush young one...
Ozzy_Osbourne
just a thought, but why does nearly everyone depend on mods to play a game? i mean, i completely understand that certain mods can provide cheap amusment or make the game a little more interesting, but why do people seem to "require" them? is it really that difficult to actually try and maybe play the game on it's own a little? Just a thought....
Opius
Most people have already played the game for the past eight months. Mods are a necessity to keep people interested.
Ozzy_Osbourne
Most people have already played the game for the past eight months. Mods are a necessity to keep people interested. like i said, i understand that. but i mean the people who seem to depend on mods to play the game at all. i mean, i used a few for vice city but they were for fun. crap like making the Deluxo turn into the Delorean from BTTF. i meant the ones who abuse mods and rely heavily on them to alter most of the game's appearence
Opius
Are you saying projects like Myriad are 'abusing' the game? Hell, it isn't Vice City anymore, we've changed everything. People like to customize their games. Believe it or not, SA isn't perfect.
Ozzy_Osbourne
No no, your misunderstanding me. I was meaning people who treat mods like cheap tools to avoid the challange of the game. And yes, i know that SA and many other games are not perfect. Don't take this the wrong way or anything, I was merely thinking out loud
Opius
Like I said, many people have already played through the game in the past eight months. I have no desire to play through the whole storyline again just to unlock everything, so I made SANGA. Now, the whole map is unlocked, all the vehicles are available, gang wars are available right from the start... Basically, I've finished the game twice already. I don't want to have to do it again. I'm sure many of the people who download my mod share the same mindset.

Just a thought.... i agree so much, i dont wanna mod the game right away, but some people do that. when i modded Vice City i have played it over and over again like..? thousand times??? then i used mods. you should do the same with San Andreas. finish it over ten times then, use mods

YeTi
Oh yes, I'm sure someone can create a entire new city within 2 weeks. i'd say less... Well it is possible to have modeled alot of buildings before hand but the .dff exportes are not out yet so they cannot be put into the game. Give it a couple of weeks for the tools to come out and then you will be happy. R.I.P. BlackStar-
To be honest about all this; I see some great points here. What I would really like to see as a mod, is a 100% finished mod and restart. To clarify : when you finish 100% of the game, you can restart the game, and do ALL the story missions again, or maybe even all of the missions, but you already have 100%. This way you can really focus on the story that's being told in the game. I got pretty pissed off during some of the missions, and that 'drove' the story out. So when you have all the stats, the missions will be a lot easier, and you can concentrate on the story being told.
