Col_Panic
I'm wondering if there is a way to change the distance or amount of items that the game can remember once they are off screen. For example, if I park a car on the street and go a few blocks away, it's gone when I get back, even if I head straight there. I'm thinking that it would be quite cool if I could do this with the car carrier trucks so that I could get a huge run-up on a bike/car and do some stunts or jump rivers. FYI: I am using the PC version and I have the graphics turned down quite a bit to improve gameplay. It's too painful to test things as my system dogs pretty bad if I crank up the video settings. mikeswi
The only useful suggestion I have is to leave the door open when you get out. That seems to make vehicles stay around a bit longer. In GTA III, you could take a car to the bomb shop and fit it with a bomb. That way it would never disappear but obviously you can't do that with a rig even if this does work in SA. Knightmare
If you keep all the cars in sight then you should be fine. There isn't a way to adjust the in-game memory, those figures would be hardcoded I would imagine. Thanks -shaDow
oli_86
i was hoping that they would change this sh*t, its freaking annoying to see a car that u want, then u just turn the camera around and then back and its gone. ghost car or what
gtavicer9
I think there's an option in the system.ini file in the main directory (is it system?) Anywho, there's a memory allocation and vehicle memory allocation value in there. Try cranking those numbers up. It's used to increase draw distance, but it might work. Try starting the vehicle value at 800, and going by hundreds, testing the game each time. You'll need a bit of RAM for this to work comfortably, though. ILIAS
I found this bug: for example: When I drive, I look forward and the road is open! NO cars in front of me!!! If I look left/right/behind, and then forward again, most of the times a car will appear in front of me and I can't avoid the crash! When I look at the replay it has a lot of fun! Suddenly a car appers in front of me! It is very madding!
