Sky Hunter
Ok i just passed flying school finally, so i got to N.O.E mission. And here where problem lays.....i cant get to angel pine without being caught by radar or crashing into wall/hill. Radar limit doesnt take into account that surface isnt on one level, so sometimes im flying just above the ground and STILL above radar! Any tips on route? And few more questions so i dont need another topic. 1. Does it matters with what medals i complete Flying School? I got half silver, few bronze and few gold. 2. How do i enter airports thru gate?(In Circle Airstrip it said i have acess to all airports now?)
decadous
with the mission i approched the corona from the south so i went all the way along the channels and just under the bridges rather then trying to fly over the hills and the trees... i can't quite remember the exact route i took... it shouldn't matter with the medals that you have and the gates should be opening once you drive upto them if they don't i don't know.. it could be a glitch... How do i enter airports thru gate?(In Circle Airstrip it said i have acess to all airports now?) actually, it checks your height above the surface, so you should have no problem. fly real close to the surface (like 4-5m) and only go higher when you must (like, trees coming) and don't let the visibility bar reach maximum. the best route is to fly above the water because there are no trees & sfuff. about the flying school medals, dunno, i heard rumors that you get some kinda bonus or something if you complete it on all gold, but i haven't managed that yet, so dunno whether it's true or not. you can access airports through the entrance gate. have you tried going into an airport before? there is a big gate with a guard booth next to it. if you drive up there without a pilot's license the guard will say you can't go into the airport without one and the gates won't open. once you have one, just drive up and the guard will open the gates. but it's usually pretty troublesome finding the gate as each airport has only one. just keep going around the airport fence and you'll eventually find it. edit: i made some pics for ya. here goes the gate of the San Fierro airport, so look for something similar: (note: the yellow framerate counter on the top right is made by fraps, i was recording a video before and forgot the fps counter will show up on my gallery pix) here's the gate... ...here's the security orc... ...and here's the gate after i walk up to it. Sky Hunter
Well Hunter IMO isnt much use compared to Hydra Oh and btw, you mean goin trought ocean? just fly near San Fierro and then turn and fly near water till i need to turn to angel pine? What i do there with all trees? p.s. I know where San Fierro gate is...prob with Las Venturas. Found one there but no security guy there... GodGell
Well Hunter IMO isnt much use compared to Hydra yeah, the Hydra rules Oh and btw, you mean goin trought ocean? just fly near San Fierro and then turn and fly near water till i need to turn to angel pine? What i do there with all trees? no, not the ocean. after you get out from the canyons, there should be a wide river. fly over it (and if possible go under the bridges, but if u cant just pull up quickly then get back to the surface on the water fast) very low, and after the river ends into the sea, pull up, quickly go towards angel pine and you should be ok. p.s. I know where San Fierro gate is...prob with Las Venturas. Found one there but no security guy there... go to the airport terminal but don't go inside. if you're facing the terminal, turn right, if you're facing towards the Strip, it's left. jools1980
My easy way of completing this mission has been: - from airfield, fly straight north - once you reach the sea, stick to the water and head straight west - you'll eventually reach the map's western border (corner), at that point head straight south - you'll eventually reach the map's southern border (corner), at that point head straight east - after a short time you'll be right south of the target: head north, deploy package, go back south - just backtrack your incoming route - you'll still have plenty of time left at the end of the mission
Sky Hunter
Does radar still get on you after package drop?
Jigsaw
Yeah it does. Here is my route, works perfectly: - Take off - Fly through the canyon ahead of you (right of the "rock tower" in front of you when you take off) - Fly over the little red bridge - Bank left and head south for the water - Fly under the two bridges that connect the San Fierro and Las Venturas Islands - when you reach the San Fierro airport, bank slightly to the right, use the runway as reference and follow it - Head for the Highway and follow it south - Fly over the scrapyard or what ever that is, keep close to the wall of the Mountain on your right - Tricky part: radar will pick you up now and there are some high trees, so you have to negotiate through the gap between the trees and the mountain wall. Looks tight... and it is. But if you keep a clear head, it isn't a problem. I like that part, it gives you an adrenaline kick! Damn, i love flying! - Now you should see the target corona, if you manage to avoid the last few trees of the town, you have managed the worst part of the mission. -Fly through the corona, pass over the ridge to the sea - when you are above the sea, turn East and follow the coast close to the water. - there will be a big bay coming up, fly North when you reach it. - If you keep flying North, you'll finally reach the oil field in the desert - Now change your course to North East or you will violate the airspace of Area 69. Trust me, you don't wanna do that!! - When you reach the outskirts of Las Venturas, fly North until the airstrip is west of you. -Final Approach: turn west, lower the gear and land on the airstrip. Piece of Cake! Oh, and for crying out loud: use the first person camera for this and some other flying mission that require precision. Those crates are a lot easier to control that way. Sky Hunter
And by the way, if the Airstrip bought as property, why it does give me money like Zero`s shop? And is there any more ways to make money while not on mission?

Sky Hunter
Just passed it, had 4 min left on timer. I did like this: Take off, flying to the red bridge, on red bridge tight turn to the San Fierro bridges, flying under two of em. Proceeded to airport, then had some 'above radar' warning near highway because of trees and those water pumps, then procceding to the bridge on highway that leads to the countryside highway to Los Satntos. After that flyed straight to the sea making misc corrections. Then tight turn and drop off. Got back in same route. But when i was going back it was night. So i meesed up with landing, my plane hit ground too early and catched fire, i got verrrry worried if it will go off now, but it flew uo into air for few more secs and fire ended.....so pulled down and landed second time Needed to drive it few meters to the marker. Nice mission tho, enjoyed it Same as cutscene *no spoil* p.s. Its ok that my plane catched fire but then all was ok and i done mission?
