Early_Q2
What are the actual benefits of improving driving skill? Everytime the message pops up telling me I'm in the middle of a chase or something
TWA
i think the effect which occurs when you drive fast decreases when you've got high skill level.
Tornado Rex
You can also control the car better with a higher driving skill. Another way to improve it is by doing 'tricks' (i.e. going off jumps, spinning, etc). ~ Proud Supporter of the Child's Play Charity! | GTANET + Child's Play ~
Enigma_Tl
I had max driving skill by the time I hit SF I think it was something like close to 100K ft (Finished all the Amb, Firetruck, Pimp, taxi, Vigil missions in LS). It improves handling at high speeds not sure on the effect but may help a little there. Also on bikes and cycles it determines how hard it is to knock you off. It is very hard for soem one with max Bike skill to get knocked off their bike. For Piloting you get an automatic parachute with high skill (Comes in handy if you stray into a no fly zone). Not sure on boats haven't done much boating yet.

You mean the effect where the screen goes a bit blurry? Damn, I like that effect - reminds me of the on-screen effects you see in Star Trek when they go to warp. I'm all for improved handling etc though - some of those cars are incredibly hard to drive...
